  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Where did the Body of Christ begin ?

Hello JDS, I would argue the “whole issue” (to be) the glory (that is to say, the goodness) of God. An orthodox theology generally presupposes the main focus of scripture as either to demonstrate God’s great love for His creation (man) as our salvation in Christ _ or _ that...

Old Covenant, Grace, New Covenant ?

Isaac begat Jacob, {28 And He said, "Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel Gen 32:28 (NKJV)} Jacob begat Judah... Christ descended from that line (tribe): 5 But one of the elders said to me, "Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has...

Where did the Body of Christ begin ?

Hello JDS, yeah, Praise God... it would seem so. Gentile salvation seems to be to area of question... how to draw doctrine without the kind of error that leads back into 'bondage' (law). It was 7-8 years after the Jewish feast day of Pentecost that Peter was dispatched to Cornelius. And after...

Old Covenant, Grace, New Covenant ?

Hello Steve, Dispensationalists don't propose any other means of salvation but "by grace through faith (Eph 2:8 )" : Ac 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (and) this truth applies all throughout the...

Where did the Body of Christ begin ?

Hello JDS, a few posts prior you said: I agree. (However) the luxury of viewing back into Biblical history through the glorious light of Calvary wasn’t afforded to God’s people (or nations –Gentiles) at the time it was occurring, nor when it was being written. So, if...

Where did the Body of Christ begin ?

Hello JDS, I can appreciate what you are saying, (because of the tenor of your posts) even tho I have a different perspective. I'll try and illustrate a little as to what I mean from a dispensational view. You are right about Peter' s vision near Joppa and his evangel for Cornelius. But I'm...

    What 1 Tim 1:4 really means ?

4 nor give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which cause disputes rather than godly edification which is in faith 1 Tim 1:4 (NKJV) 4 neither to give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questionings, rather than a dispensation of God which is in faith; so do I now. 1...

Where did the Body of Christ begin ?

Hello Dan, I think you make a strong point; and could very well be correct. Personally though, I'm looking a little further on in Paul's ministry. I think that what a lot of people stumble on when arguing against mid Acts, is (that) they don't understand what we are trying to say. That is, that...

Mid Acts Dispensationalist [MAD] Doctrine Has No Scripture!

yeshuasavedme, after repeating your incoherently garbled and preposterous straw man - (something about mid Acts people denying ANY person into the Body of Christ, and NO scripture for us_ ... ??) ... you then deride a reasoned and gentle response thusly: (I'm not quoting your vitriolic...

    What exactly is Dispensationalism?

:amen::clap: Beautiful Ro 7:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? 25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin. 8:1a ¶ There is therefore now no...

Mid Acts Dispensationalist [MAD] Doctrine Has No Scripture!

Hello Yeshuasavedme, It's obvious that you would like to argue against a mid Acts view for the Body of Christ. (But) as per your first three posts in this thread you haven't actually written anything pertaining to the mid Acts view. In fact all that I've been able to relate to any real grasp of...

Mid Acts Dispensationalist [MAD] Doctrine Has No Scripture!

I don’t know what you mean by “...specifically... no separate distinguished Jew, (and other(s))... in the body of Christ,” Separate from what, distinguished how? Could you clarify what you mean by “...separate distinguished” (persons) ? Are you referring to...

Mid Acts Dispensationalist [MAD] Doctrine Has No Scripture!

Hello yeshuasavedme, Dispy is right in that your post(s) so far (1 & 2) don't address a mid Acts perspective (at all), nor traditional dispensational theology per se The tenor of your posts appear to be simply baiting. But that's ok. It would appear that your referent so far is: Ga 3:28...
