  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    spoiling an infant

LOL, Yup thats where we are at now. Our 19 month old has been sleeping in our bed since he was born (he hated sleeping by himself). Now that I'm pregnant again we have no intentions in kicking our son out. We are trying to figure how we are going to fit everyone in a Queen size bed. My husband...

    spoiling an infant

There is no such thing as spoiling an infant. My son would only sleep in my arms, if I put him down in his crib, he would cry right away. My friend got me a sling to carry him in while I went about my business. Its only natural, the baby was in your womb for 9 months, he may not be ready to...

    Unsupervised play

I'm very over protective with my kids. We don't live in such a good area, I wouldn't let my kids out. At my mom's house though I don't mind if my daughter (16 y/o with autism) plays in the backyard. My 19 month old son, it will be years before I will allow him out to play with out me watching...

    Question about birth

With my first was in the nursery. I was fine with that since I was so young I was scared of what I would even do if she started crying. I was alot more comfortable at home with her. With my second, I wanted him in with me but that was out of the question at this hospital. With this...

Christians who have divorced and remarried...

My first husband left one month after we got married. For no reason, [I found out later that he was bipolar.] His father gave us money as a gift, which he used to travel to his mothers house in Tenn. He then saved money for the divorce. It was over in a year. My now husband and I were married...

    problems breast feeding

I'm sorry that happened. I would strongly suggest you contact your local La Leche League, see if they can give you a number to a Lactation Consultant near you. It is definately possible for you to breastfeed, its just going to take some determination on your part though. The lactation...

    When did baby first kick?

With my last pregnancy I felt my son kicking my bladder at 10 wks. Everyone said it wasn't that but as he got bigger his kicks to my bladder (I guess he was fascinated with my bladder) got stronger to the point sometimes I felt like I had to go. I will be 14 weeks along with this pregnancy...

    she's here!

Congratulations! I remember when I had my son, I thought to myself "Oh, I can't wait to have him, to see my husband possibly cry when he comes out." Heck, when he came out I was so emotional I forgot all about my husband, I just cryed so much. I'm so happy for you!

    Gaining weight

Well they say your only supposed to gain 3-4 lbs in your first trimester then 1 lb every week after that. LOL, when I said I gained 45 lbs with my son I meant after delivery. I started off (pre-pregnancy) at 140 lbs , at my last appt before I had him I weighed 209 lbs. So I was left with all...

    Gaining weight

Is this Ok.....I'm going into my 14th week on Friday. Since I got pregnant I've gained 7 lbs? With my last pregnancy I gained alot of weight (45 lbs) largely because I was pregnant with twins and my Dr told me to eat alot. Then at my 23rd week I found out I had lost one. I was very hypoglycemic...
