  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Is hell equally horrific for everyone?

Hmm, I never thought of that. I'm not that familiar with Catholicism to be honest with you. It does seem to fit with what you are saying though.

Is hell equally horrific for everyone?

Here is Scriptural proof that hell is not equally bad for everyone: Luke 12 47"That servant who knows his master's will and does not get ready or does not do what his master wants will be beaten with many blows. 48But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be...

Is hell equally horrific for everyone?

Not all of the damned are equally sinful, so if God is just, it would make sense that those who are more guilty suffer more than those who are less guilty. Also, the Bible seems to make some distinction between grades of punishment (i.e., it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah on...

    It is just not fair

I am glad they are telling you that, because that is the truth. Best wishes to you.

    Is God pro-life?

Also, don't some people say that aborted fetuses automatically go to heaven? For their own good, maybe it's better to nip them in the bud in some cases, because when you're conceived in adultery, rape, or incest your chances of living a holy life, thus making salvation possible, decrease...

If God wants us to be chaste, why does he curse us with sexual dreams?

This is fantastic advice. It is difficult to dismiss what one finds appealing. If you learn to be repulsed by immodest women (or their behaviour, I should say), and view them as God views them - that is, with disgust - you'll have a much easier time resisting temptation.

If God wants us to be chaste, why does he curse us with sexual dreams?

Well, I have been guilty of lust in the past (as most men are, unfortunately), and it's possible that that has something to do with it in my case. But I'm not convinced that's the case with everyone, and unwanted sexual thoughts/dreams do appear to have a natural component. But I definitely...

If God wants us to be chaste, why does he curse us with sexual dreams?

Well, it could be the work of Satan in some cases, but many people have noted that as sexual tension builds (which is inevitable when it is not released in some form or another), they become plagued by unwanted sexual thoughts even during waking life. They will be doing arithmetic when all of a...

If God wants us to be chaste, why does he curse us with sexual dreams?

There are a lot of people out there who try to live a chaste life (both in deed and thought), and do a pretty good job of it, and yet are cursed with unwanted sexual dreams at least every so often. This does not appear do be the work of Satan, but a natural function, something which is bound to...

    Is God pro-life?

The Test for an Unfaithful Wife 11 Then the LORD said to Moses, 12 "Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'If a man's wife goes astray and is unfaithful to him 13 by sleeping with another man, and this is hidden from her husband and her impurity is undetected (since there is no witness...
