  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

    Evolution vs. Creationism

I've actually read about things like the Fox and Miller Experiments that took ordinary useless chemicals, charged them with energy, and resulted in things vital to life such as amino acids, uncoated DNA, protenoid microspheres, etc. So there is some evidence out there that could point to the...

    Evolution vs. Creationism

Aww, come now, don't be a pessimist! Is the skull half-empty or half-full? Think positive!

    same-sex marriage

I'm not gay, but from what I seen and heard, it's not a choice, it's something that is just the way they feel. They are born gay, if I'm correct. If God is the Author of Our Existence, then how else are people born gay if not from the Divine? Perhaps it's too increase diversity and promote...

    Evolution vs. Creationism

Keep in mind, there is also cultural evolution, and right now that's moving at the speed of light.

    Evolution vs. Creationism

I'm not so sure about this. Some conjecture I've heard has predicted that humans will eventually only have four toes, due to the constriction of shoes. This is evidenced by the shrinking size of both the small toe and of the nail of the small toe. Another theory holds that human brains/heads...

    same-sex marriage

Please don't misinterpret my comments! The "for what purpose" comment was something I came up with thinking about the situation. It is not in any way anti-gay or anti-Christianity. It's sort of a hypothetical, philosophical idea that popped into my head that I thought I'd share. Debate...

    Who Killed Christ?

Revelation 2:9 and 3:9 to me are not anti-Jewish passages. To me they point out people pretending to be Jews, but are actually lying. Just my take on it.

    same-sex marriage

From what I understand, the majority of homosexuals say that it is not a choice, rather that they are born as homosexuals. How can we change something that is part of their existence? This brings up the question of whether or not God intended them to be gay, and, if so, for what purpose...

    Evolution vs. Creationism

Some points that come to mind: Some transitional forms: Sponges. Sponges are a perfect bridge between unicellular and multicellular organisms. Sponge cells can live fine on their own, but prefer to be together. A famous experiment involves pushing sponge through something like cheesecloth...

    Evolution vs. Creationism

No problem. I was doing a research paper recently on the motivations and causes of the Protestant Reformation and he was big. His burning at the stake is as moving as any Hollywood fiction.

    Evolution vs. Creationism

That little personal speech was not intended to prove or disprove evolution. If you'd like to see some proof, check my previous posts on the matter or some of the other great posts by people with the same opinions as me.

    Evolution vs. Creationism

I agree with you for the most part. I just wanted to point out one historical person whose story really pulls at my heartstrings. There should make a movie about him. Does one already exist?

    Evolution vs. Creationism

Funny this should come up. We were discussion basically this same notion in my biology class. We were discussing evolution when one girl said "I believe in God and that's that!" The world operates on evidence to support conclusions, and while I believe you have every right to your belief, for...

    Evolution vs. Creationism

I'd just like to mention one name: Jan Hus (although I've seen it spelled John Hus, John Huss, Jan Hus and Jan Huss, apparently spelling and consistency wasn't as big a deal then as it was now, though with the advent of the internet you could make the argument that it still isn't important.)
