    Your example demonstrates how amazing faith is. All the things you mentioned are undesireable events, but to stand strong in faith against those odds is no easy feat!

    Why is the creation:evolution debate important?

    Though the age old argument is interesting, I don't think it's of paramount importance, for it is not at the heart of salvation, and neither one can be proven. One requires faith, and the other is subject to constant revision and estimation. I don't think many converts are won on either side...

    I realize I am outnumbered here, and collectively you may find my skepticism unsettling. Ah, but numbers don't make you right. If you visited a church and were equally skeptic and were in the minority in public opinion, would you also be wrong?
