  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Cast mountain into the sea, Literal or figurative?

Greetings all, MT 19:26 But Jesus looked at them and said to them, "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." We, humans, do not move mountains. God does it all. What is required is our faith = trust (even little) that God is going to do that for us. So obviously...

Cast mountain into the sea, Literal or figurative?

MT 17:20 So Jesus said to them, "Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. This literally happened as promised about 979 AD, yes...

    Abomination of desolation

The Lord said in Matthew 24: 14 - 15 "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. 24:15 "Therefore when you see the 'abomination of desolation,' spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place"...

Can we Christians unite and have same dates for Christmas and Easter feasts ?

Greetings Trevor, I agree with you about the true unification. It is a long journey. Everything has a starting point. In this case, it may start with with a little (but significant) step, meaning sharing the same devoted time together and in areal time. Most of the churches worldwide...

    The Lord's Miracles / Wonders / Signs

Greetings Beasley, I think there is a misunderstanding of the purpose of the thread. It is to stimulate thinking. The purpose of the miracles was to reveal the Lord's Deity. There are other important lessons to learn from the listed miracles. For further discernment you may want to check...

Can we Christians unite and have same dates for Christmas and Easter feasts ?

We all, as Christians, belive in the same One Father, One Son Jesus and One Holy Spirit. Do you want to see One Church for the Lord, no East and no West? Is it too much to ask to have all Christians in the East and in the West celebrate the same two feasts Christmas and Easter in the same...

    The end of the world

From what is going on in the world and particulary in the middle east, do you think that the prophecies In Daniel and Revelation are being fulfilled slowly and the end is near? If so, please pray that God gives the world more chances to repent. PS 34:17 The righteous cry out, and the LORD...

    the disciple whom Jesus loved....

John is the disciple that Jesus loved. He did not mentioned his name in his gospel out of humblness. However, he mentioned his name in Revelation as a credible witness to all what is coming, which apparently is soon.

    The real birthday of Jesus??

Why the exact date is so important to be identified? Is it better to have all the christians worldwide celibrating and worshiping the Christmas and Easter (wrong name) at the same days globally? After 2000 years the leaders of all churches must get together and agreed at least on this, instead...

John 9:41 - If you were blind, you would have had no sin

That is why we always pray for forgivness of sins that we are aware of or not aware of. Please refer to the verse (Jn 9:39 And Jesus said, "For judgment I have come into this world, that those who do not see may see, and that those who see may be made blind."). It explains it.

    The Lord's Miracles / Wonders / Signs

The great miracles performed by the Lord Jesus Christ were for specific reasons and purpose. 1. What do we learn from such great miracles? Just a few : water into wine, Feeding 5000 & 4000 (plus women and children), creating eyes to the born blind and reversing death and decay in raising...

Can we stand together on common ground?

The unity of the church of Jesus the Christ must start with the unification of the dates of celebration of the Christmas and the Easter (name must be also changed) worldwide. All the Christians in the USA represents only 6-8% of the Christians worldwide. This should be easy to agree upon...
