  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    The Lost House of Israel

Not being disrespectful here, but please consider what I am about to tell you. I think you are sincere in your beliefs, but you can be sincerely wrong. That's not say other refutations against you here are not wrong - most of them are. They are just as confused as you are. The so-called "lost"...

    Forbidden fruit

I'm not at liberty to explain the forbidden fruit for only the LORD God himself reveals truth, but the answer is clear as day - it's right in the text of Gen 2:17 - IF one has the the spiritual eyes to see. Curiously, God considered the tree of knowledge of good and evil as GOOD. Gen 1:29, Gen...

Am I dead wrong when it comes to death and life?

Good thoughts, your posts are interesting I might add. It's always good to think "outside the box" so to speak. With regard to this particular post, I just would like to clarify what you're saying here. Please pardon my grammar, I'm writing this hastily as I'm pressed for time. Absolute truth...

Was "the Word" Jesus before He/It became flesh?

@Saint Steven: "As I understand it, Jesus wasn't Jesus until the Word became flesh. There was a coexistence in the godhead, but I can't fathom the reason why there would be Jesus before creation. " Not to disrepect your view on the trinity, but consider that God is one God, for He stated...

Is baptism in scripture strictly spiritual?

Not meaning to offend anyone, but most people miss the point - (which incidentally, the Bible calls that sin - Romans 3:23). Read carefully John 3:1-6; if one truly has the revelation from God to "see" what Jesus is saying, then the point should be crystal clear. Notice what Nicodemus said...

How sure are you that the Bible is God's word?

It's important to realize that the scriptures (the Bible) only testify of Jesus; Jn 5:39 they do not spiritually reveal him - they in fact, conceal him! It is for this reason that the scriptures must be opened. Lk 24:27, 30-31 When this does not happen, multiple contrary interpretations of...

Were we supposed to receive the Holy Spirit at baptism?

Holy Ghost baptism always follows water baptism, if you are chosen. No exceptions. With Jesus being our example, we can see this clearly in His baptism. One needs to understand what water and Holy Ghost baptism really represent in scripture. Understanding this explains why John was able to see...

Why do people find the book of James controversial?

That's exactly what I'm saying, hearing is not seeing. Hearing is the first step, seeing comes next. Most people aren't aware that this sequence even exists spiritually. In fact I will go so far as to say that it is impossible to love God (keep his commandments) without seeing (understanding)...

Why do people find the book of James controversial?

I just wanted to add to this line of thought. As stated, there are three points: 1) We first hear from God. 2) Faith is the evidence of things not seen (not seen with natural or physical eyes). 3) We then act on what we heard. The problem lies with the 2nd stage. If one does not have the...
