I struggle with masturbation, like most people. This question has been asked to death but here it is again; Is masturbation a sin? I know the thoughts you have while doing it is a sin, but is the act itself a sin?

I want to get closer to God but I find it hard to read the Bible and pray, mainly because I get too distracted by the world. Anyone else have this problem and how do I overcome being lazy in my faith?
