Do you feel badly for the non-elect?

Have you decided where you stand concerning predestination ?

Do you feel badly for the non-elect?

This is not scriptural. At all.

How does Preterition line up with single predestination ?

This is in the "Ask a Calvinist" forum. Understand where I'm coming from first. Logically speaking, the question I posed would be answered entirely different depending on which camp you adhere to. 1. If you believe in single predestination, then we can actually discuss preterition. 2. If you...

How does Preterition line up with single predestination ?

You don't even know if you follow Calvin's doctrines. You don't even know if you believe in single or double predestination....and you say "strawman"... This is too rich.

So , if you don't subscribe to Calvinism you aren't saved ? Come on man.

How does Preterition line up with single predestination ?

If you aren't a follower of Calvin's doctrines, then you shouldn't identify yourself as a Calvinist, and you shouldn't be answering questions in the " Ask a Calvinist" thread as if you are. Double predestination and single are a canyon width apart theologically. You need to figure out where you...

How does Preterition line up with single predestination ?

This is a contradictory statement. First, if your follow Calvin's doctrine , you adhere to double predestination. It's that simple. He did. So to identify with his doctrine ( which you have ) then you are. Is this a logical, truthful statement , or not ? Second, if you do identify yourself as...

How does Preterition line up with single predestination ?

Romans 9 certainly speaks of God's sovereignty , but not in the context which you claim. Also, I will have you know I bow to my Creator , not Calvin. In another thread you say God gets no pleasure in the death of the wicked.. How can this be so when you follow your doctrine ? If it's His will...

Do you feel badly for the non-elect?

Because God told you to love your enemies. That's why. Now , this totally flies in the face of Calvinism. If God asks us to love our enemies, but yet He doesn't , does that mean God is asking you to be more pious than He ? The answer is no.

Do you feel badly for the non-elect?

I'm ignorant of many things friend, but not what you claim me to be ignorant of. I know Calvinism. I know the doctrines behind it. I also know preaching the Gospel to many , many people over several years. Also, to assume You would take me to school scripturally in 5 minutes is more...

Do you feel badly for the non-elect?

With an attitude like this toward the lost, there's no way you share the Gospel with power. If at all. Do you realize that you were once condemned and except for mercy would still be condemned? Do you understand that Jesus didn't come for the righteous, but for sinners? Do you understand that...

Do you feel badly for the non-elect?

Wrong sir. Man's sin belongs to man and in typical Calvinist fashion you stretch the argument of free will into a smirch against God's sovereignty. It has been said here and many other places that if the doors of hell were opened to let out the non elect , they would slam shut and stay inside...

How does Preterition line up with single predestination ?

Having not the choice to be anything except what you are is not freedom of will or agency. She I agree that the bible teaches man is incapable of reaching God , without God drawing , I see the scriptures time after time speaking of mans responsibility to choose. Salvation is synergistic...

Do you feel badly for the non-elect?

Even if those "non - elect" are people we know and love ? In your case , probably so.

Do you feel badly for the non-elect?

As do I. But to try to dismiss the scriptures that point to the facts that the rich man desired for his brothers to repent is not receiving the context of the scripture. God's judgment upon that rich man was Holy and right. It's what we all deserve. No one is questioning the judgment of the...
