  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    Question about Rice Krispies treats!

    I have even made them with fruity and cocoa pebbles. They are good too. You can also use cocoa pebbles and put mini marshmallows and coarsely chopped graham crackers for a s'mores treat. Have fun. :yum:

    This Present Darkness

    I recently finished "This Present Darkness". I thought it was a good read. Yes, a little slow in places, but worth the time. I believe that it really makes you think differently about prayer. I have a paperback copy, if anyone wants it, let me know.

    The DaVinci Code :Good Or Bad ?

    I just finished this novel. For fiction, it was o-kay. The thing I found most disturbing was when they were at Teabing's house talking about the Holy Grail. They were refering to Da Vinici's painting of The Last Supper as if it were a polaroid of the actual event, not the interpertation of a...
