  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    Omnipotent, Omnipresent and Omniscient

You mean ex-christians? This seems like a response from an atheist. I am not a atheist. I just believe in Christian theology as it has a lot of holes when you start thinking about it. You mean to say that God is present inside of us, in a statue, in a tree etc. everywhere?

    Hindus explaining hinduism

I hope you don't mind me asking. Yes, when I think about it that is quite true isn't it? Uncounsious acts? How can one avoid these? I mean this seems to be a paradox don't you think ? I suppose this is why you are saying that one needs a belief in God. Does that mean then that God...

    Hindus explaining hinduism

Well, I hope this thread is not closed as I am learning a lot from these threads even though they seem to have been started with some kind of negative tone. I can't be sure of this though just a feeling. Paul

    Hindus explaining hinduism

Very interesting. Quite different than the abrahmic religions where atheists are despised. This is why I am beginning to like Hinduism although not an atheist myself. Interesting again. So basically, Hinduism or eternal dharma is for everyone regardless of their current religion. It seems...
