  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

The Epic Question: Which console rules?

Sega Saturn had much better quality games and selection than any of the systems mentioned in the poll. Unfortunately, Sega couldn't get it to sell.

What was the worst comedy you ever saw?

I second Meet the Parents as worst comedy. As well as anything else the actor who played the lead character is in. Not remotely funny.

How many books do you read each year?

I read about 15 books yearly. I read at a rate of 50 pgs an hour. So far this year I have read 4-5 that I can remember. It may well have been more. Time is what I lack...so is a social life. lol

What is your LEAST favourite film?

It had to have been a low-budget film. The actors were okay, however the lighting for each group of people, pointless. Bet it was a last minute idea. "Okay, our normal lighting wont allow the people of average intellect to determine which characters are where, so...the guys in Mexico, we're...

    War of the Worlds

I thought the movie was not only boring, but clearly not sci-fi...It had aliens and many explosions, but that does not classify something as sci-fi. Science Fiction has a tendency to make more sense than real life does. Take Asimov's writings. All good, all possible, given a sci-fi setting...

    NARNIA: Lion, Witch and Wardrobe

It will no doubt be good, but the length is concerning me. I recently re-read The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe a few days ago...it's not a very long book at all. It could probably be done in an hour, maybe an hour and a half if they stretch the battle out.

    Worst Book Turned Movie

I, Robot...an amazing book...a terrible movie. Sure, it may have been an entertaining movie, but didn't follow the book at all. Will Smith's character doesn't exist in the book at all. Susan Calvin, the young woman that was a robot-psychologist, was supposed to be old and nearly at her death...

    Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

They're all good books. My personal favorite of the five is So Long and Thanks For All the Fish. “Ford was humming something. It was just one note repeated at intervals. He was hoping that somebody would ask him what he was humming, but nobody did. If anybody had asked him he would have said he...

    Any fantasy readers?

The Word and Void series by Terry Brooks is good, although current-day, fantasy. C.S. Lewis is good, I'm reading the Chronicles of Narnia again (I remembered enjoying the books as a kid, but couldn't remember them). Anything pertaining to LotR has bored me to death, though. I have not enjoyed...
