Do you belong to a CULT?

Do I belong to a cult? No. But, many times I wish I do. Actually, at one time I did. When I first became a believer, the church I attended was considered by the mainstream Christians as a cult. We were just too "radical" - having outreaches, prayer meetings, Bible studies, "no dating"...

What do you think about the "New Earth Creation" view?

Mount Everest formed during the flood and as the water was receeding. Like I said, prior to the flood, there were no major mountain ranges and no major oceans. So, it was relatively flat. So, it's not inconceivable for water to have covered the entire earth with the water we currently have...

What do you think about the "New Earth Creation" view?

I guess cause I'm not trying to argue it by using the Bible as a source.

What do you think about the "New Earth Creation" view?

World-wide event. The flood covered every square inch of the planet. All strata layers were laid down by the flood. As for volcanic layers in the stratas, there certainly could have been some magma mixed in with the sediments in the water.

What do you think about the "New Earth Creation" view?

Different layers were formed by different settling rates of the sediment in the flood. This neatly explains how all the stratas can be so parallel. It also explains where all the sediment came from (material from the crust split). Here's more thoughts about rock stratas: - We see fossils...

What do you think about the "New Earth Creation" view?

Are you talking about the magnetic anonmolies in the mid-atlantaic ridge? Actually, I see it as a very viable explanation. The mechanisms are different between my theory and yours. My theory doesn't purport that it was volcanic rock that is causing the anomolies. It was simply magnetized...

Question & poll for young earth creationists

Could you explain how old-agers would see a difference between going backwards and going fowards. As a young-ager, I can't see any difference between going forward or backward.

What do you think about the "New Earth Creation" view?

All the rock stratas (layers) were laid down by the flood.

What do you think about the "New Earth Creation" view?

Only after the flood would volcanic activity take place.

Question & poll for young earth creationists

I am not familiar with the "creative process" that you mention. Could you elaborate?

What do you think about the "New Earth Creation" view?

My question is how did they originally form to be so parallel. One layer must have been layed down. Over time another layer went on top of the first layer. And third layer over the second. And so on, for hundreds of layers. Each layer as it was being layed down has a fairly uniform height...

What do you think about the "New Earth Creation" view?

Here's the sequence of the layers starting from the surface and going to the core: Crust/Granite Subterranean water Basalt/Mohorovicic discontinuity Mantle Magma/Core The water was between two non-porous layers. Do we see magnetic anomolies around volcanoes?
