  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    A Question for Trinitarians

Please, point out what's wrong with the following statements: The Father's Name is 'Yahweh' and this is his Name forever. The Son's name is 'Yahweh saves' or 'Jesus' in English. Man, do you really believe Jesus was the only one carrying the name Yehoshua? Do you know what the John Baptist's...

    A Question for Trinitarians

That rendering of the Greek word you've chosen, is just one of the several possible. I don't need to prove you are wrong in this case... You just don't have ground to claim you are right. That isn't God's word. Just the translation variant you like. There is no biblical support for the concept...

    A Question for Trinitarians

That was because in your response your were completely ignoring Exodus 3:15. It doesn't make any sense to switch to the Son when you ignore the Father. So you see: your words are easily applied to you. Yes, the Father's Name is Yahweh and this is his Name forever. That is based on Exodus 3:15...

    A Question for Trinitarians

Divine beings are not like humans, guess you know that. They are not born, they don't die and they have no parents in our human sense, have no beginning, no end. Following your logic the Father should also have some father and the Son, to be begotten from eternity needs some divine mother...

    A Question for Trinitarians

No, that's a wordplay. That doesn't mean Jesus' or the Holy Spirit's name is 'Yahweh'. They've never been directly called that Name. They perfectly represent Yahweh and are sometimes shown acting from His Name but they are not Yahweh.

    A Question for Trinitarians

Because 'Yahweh' is the Father's name, the Son was called 'Jesus' and the Holy Ghost has never been called 'Yahweh'. Check the Bible.

    A Question for Trinitarians

No, that's wrong. 'Yahweh' is the Father's name, the Son was called 'Jesus' and the Holy Ghost was never called 'Yahweh'. Check the Bible.

You opposed it, that's a problem. I'm not judging you, just think about it.

    A Question for Trinitarians

Why are you inventing excuses? They, both Jews and 'translators', made people to forget the Name of God. I've got nothing to add. Oh no no... Your point is completely wrong. I use translations where God's Name is treated with reverence and I rejoice calling it. And what is the usage of 'LORD'...

    A Question for Trinitarians

Exodus 3:15 15 And God said again to Moses, “So you must say to the Israelites, ‘Yahweh, the God of your ancestors, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is my name forever, and this is my remembrance from generation to generation.’ You say you...

    A Question for Trinitarians

Yes, no one argues. But you are not reading Textus Receptus or Nestle's Greek texts, are you? The question is what is the right way to translate that word.

    A Question for Trinitarians

@Clare73 Not possible to write long messages there. In reply to your last comment: But it isn't used in both LEB and in other widely used relatively word-to-word translations too. See LEB John 1:14 NASB John 1:14 HCSB John 1:14 ESV John 1:14 etc. The fact is that the verses you mentioned are...

    A Question for Trinitarians

I'm discussing the substitution of the Name with a 'Lord' in the OT. So the question stays the same: Do you believe Yahweh revealing his Name, Moses, righteous ones of the OT calling on that Name, David and the prophets were wrong, so that some Jewish or "Christian" "translators" or fellas...

    A Question for Trinitarians

Yeah, I see you are considering me to be in error I just got no clue what the error is, because you can hardly manage to white more than 1 sentence or to provide any explanation of your views or to prove your claim. So it turns out that this is you who are in error because you directly oppose to...
