  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Can you do something in order to be saved?

My main question is: Can a person recieve salvation by praying a prayer? And if so, isnt that doing something to be saved (like believing that the act of baptism saves you or that circumcision saves you?)

Can you do something in order to be saved?

Is Romans 10 the whole gospel message? If all it takes is to confess and beleive than won't the demons be getting into heaven?

Can you do something in order to be saved?

Is there anything you can "do" to be saved? Like can you "pray a prayer" to recieve salvation? Can you be sincere enough in a prayer in order to be saved? Can you have enough Faith in God to merit worthiness of salvation? Is having Faith an internal act of the heart, or is it placed in us by...

Did Paul remain the Cheif of all sinners?

Wow, you are not very perceptive are you? I am making light of those who would use an excuse like Paul being the cheif of all sinners as an excuse for living in sin. By the way I think you may be a bit a foolish in your comments, if I was wrong in my accusation of Paul, the biblical thing...

Did Paul remain the Cheif of all sinners?

I have always heard people say (when I confess or discuss the filth of sin in my life)........that, well Paul was the Cheif of all sinners! Is this a cop out for living according to the sinful nature or was Paul just a big old fat hypocrite? I mean was he actively living as a Chief of the...

    Can anyone agree on anything?

Can a thread be started where everyone can agree on something? I have met no one in my lifetime (including in this forum) that can agree on even the most elementary teachings of the bible? Anyone dare to start a thread on something that everyone might possibly agree on?

From what did Jesus save us?

Christ saved us from a condemned lifesyle, one which is in and out of sin. Paul made it clear that living such a lifestlye is putred and when someone is in Christ and is being led by Christ, he no longer has to live that old lifestyle. When people preach that sin is to be expected in the life...

Simple Question: Why did God send Jesus?

How about because mankind had a horrible problem with sin and the sinful nature and he continually chose to submit to it over a Loving God. So God sent Christ (of course to forgive us and to justify us) but did he do that to merely cover up our unrighteousness or to provide for us a new and...

Sinful Nature vs. the Holy Spirit

#1 Can the Holy Spirit abide in a man who's sinful nature is active and in control? #2 Can a man be saved who does not have the Holy Spirit?

    This is terrible!!!

It is terrible that there is so much division among Modern Day Christians! Why is it that no one can agree on even the most elementary of Gospel teachings? Why must everyone defend the way they have been taught? Examples: 1. no one can agree on how a person becomes a Christian 2. no one...
