  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Jesus didn't take away our sin, only our punishment

For Christ did not enter a sanctuary made with human hands that was only a copy of the true one; he entered heaven itself, now to appear for us in God’s presence. 25 Nor did he enter heaven to offer himself again and again, the way the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood...

    UNDER THE LAW!

Well strangely, it appears I may not get an answer to my question. Why? Because people who stress righteousness of obeying the law know they cannot obey the law relating to the inner man, the law only they and God need know they break, so it is conveniently put aside. And yet, they say 'break...

    Was Ceremonial Law Abolished?

So to recap, rom ch3 Jew and Gentile alike are all(all means all) under the power of sin. There is no one(no one) righteous not even one. Therefore whatever the law says it says to those under the law that the whole world may be accountable to God. Therefore no one will be declared righteous by...

    Was Ceremonial Law Abolished?

Lets continue and lets remember it is part of one whole chapter: 21 But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. 22 This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between...

    Was Ceremonial Law Abolished?

Got to read the whole segment, to understand what is being written. Plucking one verse out here and there leads to error when it is not applied to relating verses

    Was Ceremonial Law Abolished?

What is true if there is no one righteous, not even one, what is true if Jew and gentile alike are ALL under sin? Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law/observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin. verse20

    Was Ceremonial Law Abolished?

Jews and gentiles alike are ALL under the power of sin. There is NO ONE righteous, not even one. Paul goes on to elaborate. What does that mean? Whatever the law says it says to those under the law that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God Obviously true if...

    Was Ceremonial Law Abolished?

What shall we conclude then? Do we have any advantage? Not at all! For we have already made the charge that Jews and Gentiles alike are all under the power of sin. 10 As it is written: ‘There is no one righteous, not even one; 11 there is no one who understands; there is no one who...

    Was Ceremonial Law Abolished?

Some people rely on reading the Greek, Aramaic or Hebrew to learn of the spiritual. All that effort to learn, and yet, where does it lead? most of the time error after error after error

    UNDER THE LAW!

Dkh Im sure you are an honest person. You believe in righteousness of obeying the law don't you? And that would include obeying the ten commandments? As I am sure you know, Thou shalt not covet includes obeying law relating to the inner man, law only you and God need know you break. Only Paul...

    UNDER THE LAW!

I think you need a break: I wrote the post to you, concerning people who claim to be righteous by obeying the law, they would include obeying the ten commandments in that. And I was pondering if they claimed to fully obey that law(thou shalt not covet). For saul the Pharisee could not obey it...
