  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

OCD, trusting God and fear of Hell

Please never forget Satan is a liar. Jesus said that he was a liar from the beginning. He is the father of lies, and the truth is not in him. He is a roaring lion going about seeking whom he may devour. His entire purpose is to make you doubt the incredible gift Jesus gave you through dying in...

    I'm scared

Satan is like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. He is a liar. Jesus said himself that satan was a liar from the beginning. He is the father of lies and there is no truth that is found in him. These comments are taken from scripture. Jesus cannot lie, it is impossible...period. Satan has...

    scared and too much ocd

Jesus loves you more than you will ever know. If there was a time that you accepted Him as savior and believed in Him, you can NEVER fall from His hand. His word says so. It is an impossibility. He died for past present and future sins. When God looks at you it is no longer you He see's, but His...

    For those new to OCD/scrupulosity

Davidbear is 100% accurate. It is Jesus we need to focus on and nothing else. This is the reason jesus came, to overcome sins and wickedness we cannot on our own. Please remember satan is the accuser of the brethren. He loves seeing you in torment. There are certain scriptures that bring me...

    For those new to OCD/scrupulosity

Agree 100% x 10! I have found that worship music drives satan away like no other. That's because God inhabits the praises of His people, and in His presence there is fullness of joy. When He is present all fear melts away. Great post's! I agree we need to take care of all areas of our lives, I...

    For those new to OCD/scrupulosity

WorriedOne, yes I know what you are going through. There was a time where I could hardly do anything but beg God's forgiveness over and over. Even when I could not pinpoint something specific, I would still beg His forgiveness. I would tell you that God loves you, no matter what thought or issue...

Thanks to you both for the replies! I wish when I was younger I would have had something like this board to look to. This can make a huge difference in someone's life, when they realize others are dealing with the same stuff. Iceman - I am just curious if you are on medication? The reason being...
