Do any denominations believe in near-death experiences?

The fact that atheism is increasing is proof that to many people the Bible is not enough. There are many contradictions. The same passages can have many different interpretations. Even the newest passages were written 2000 years ago, making the Bible seem like a myth to many people. We don't...

Does the UCC have a dominant theology about salvation?

That sounds pretty much consistent with any theology.

Which Reformed/Presybyterian churches still believe in the 5 points of Calvinism?

Thanks for the link, AMR. I've never seen anyone compare individual denominations like that before. Very interesting webpage.

Which Reformed/Presybyterian churches still believe in the 5 points of Calvinism?

Actually, I'm not looking for it. In fact I disagree with it completely. I was just interested to know whether it's still common in churches that call themselves Presbyterian or Reformed.

Does the UCC have a dominant theology about salvation?

I understand that the United Church of Christ is very diverse, but does it have a dominant theology about salvation? By "dominant" I mean something that the majority believe in. Are the majority of people in the UCC Calvinists, Arminians, Universalists or something else?

There are many churches with a Reformed background, but which of them actually believe in the five points of Calvinism (also known as TULIP theology)? Howard Storm, a minister in the United Church of Christ, wrote this in his book: People will always be free to reject God because God gave...

Salvation for non-Christians: which denominations accept it?

One of my favorite books is My Descent Into Death by Howard Storm. This guy was originally an atheist, but became a United Church of Christ pastor after his near-death experience. Here are a few passages from his book about whether non-Christians can be saved: Question: What is the best...

Do any denominations believe in near-death experiences?

I am very interested in the phenomenon of near-death experiences where a person dies/nearly dies due to some disease or trauma, then goes to Heaven and meets Jesus before returning to their physical body. Do any Christian denominations have an official stance on what near-death experiences are...

Salvation for non-Christians: which denominations accept it?

I believe that one of the most important aspects of a religion is its attitude to other religions. Which Christian denominations believe that only Christians will go to Heaven? Which Christian denominations believe that non-Christians also have the possibility of going to Heaven?

Looking for a church in Melbourne, Australia

Okay, so maybe I'm the only Melbournian on this forum. Can someone at least recommend another forum where I could ask this question?

Looking for a church in Melbourne, Australia

I live in St. Kilda East and I'm looking for a church to join but there are so many. I want a church that has a congregation of at least 30 people. I once went to a church service that had only 13 people including the minister, the organ player and myself. It was a very disappointing...
