What's the weather like where you are? (4)

Stuck my head out the door when I let the dog out. It's cold. VERY cold. No thermometer reading needed. My nose won't thaw out until May!

Minus 5 this am, stiff breeze, the local weather station says the wind chill is -20. I suppose I'd better get out the scarf and gloves today.

With all this cold, wind chills, and snow you'd think it was WINTER! ;)

COLD! Not quite zero, snowing again. Doesn't look like it will amount to much, thank goodness.

Snowing hard, but it's light fluffy stuff. I left all my folders and files at work, so I could finish up a project in between meetings today, and now the university is closed for the day do to weather! I should know better than to not carry the stuff back and forth. Oh, well.

Got about 3 inches of beautiful, light, fluffy snow yesterday, snow which has sopped up the overnight rain and is now heavy, wet, crunchy snow. Should have shoveled out last night. Schools all delayed an hour or two until this mess gets cleaned up.

1 whole degree. Didn't get the shoveling done yesterday, but got another inch last night, so I'd have to go out and do it again today anyway! The snow is frosting all the trees and bushes and is glimmering in the sunrise, absolutely beautiful!

Sunny today, going to get up into the 20's but at least no wind! Good think because I need to finish shoveling out from the 18 inches snow I got the other day. I keep telling myself it's good exercise!

    Crocheters? (2)

Hope it's ok for a newbie to jump in--I wanted to say that Prayer Shawls are the most wonderful things, I got one when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I feel comforted every time I use it or even see it. As a child my mother and both grandmothers tried to teach me to knit but I could...

If you could be any character, who would you be?

If I had to choose it would be Savil from Mercedes Lackey's Last Herald Mage trilogy. Self confident, talented, respected, and says what she thinks.

Katahdin is beautiful to look at, in any season. Bogs are interesting places to watch over the seasons, too. What kind of wildlife lives in your Thousand Acre Bog (reminds me of the Thousand Acre Woods from Winnie the Pooh)?

Sounds like a big bog! Patten's north of Millinocket, isn't it? Maybe near Houlton?
