  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

    What is it?

I, not JerrySchugart, am responsible for all of the quotes in post 61. JerrySchugart originally posted none of them. Dispy, you have misquoted him. The quotes are from my posts. And I stand by what I said.

    What is it?

JerryShugart: Acts 3:19,20 did not happen on the day of Pentecost. Do you really want to complicate this thread further by bringing this up now?? It is an interesting thing to explore, but in a different thread, please!

    What is it?

Dispy, No, what you said was that you believe the Dispensation of Law was interrupted by the Tribulation. Proof follows. This is from your first post to this thread: The present "church age" (dispensation of grace) didn't start until after the setting aside of Israel after the stoning...

    What is it?

The covenant isn't confirmed before the Tribulation, it BEGINS the Tribulation, the 70th Week of Daniel, the last "7" or heptad. The second the covenant is confirmed becomes the first second of the Tribulation. I don't know how I can make it any more plain.

    What is it?

Dispy, Daniel 9:27 says "And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week; and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be...

Jesus' and Paul's Gospels - the same?

The Apostle Paul had no errors to correct, since he received his doctrine directly from the ascended Lord Jesus Christ (Galatians 1:11,12). What the Lord Jesus instructed him to write, he wrote. By saying that Paul had errors, you are saying the Lord Jesus had errors. I don't think you mean...

    What is it?

But why are you basing this doctrine on only the Joel passage? You seem to be ignoring Daniel (where the concepts of the Tribulation and Antichrist are introduced) or Revelation (where the Tribulation is "fleshed out")? If you see that there is no interruption in Tribulation events in these...

    What is it?

Dispy, Thank you for explaining your take on Scripture. Despite your detailed explanation, I do not find your scenario plausible. It is the Dispensation of Law that is interrupted by the Church age. I see no indication in Daniel or Revelation that the Tribulation is interruped. It is my opinion...

    What is it?

Somehow I knew A_W_C would show up and try to hijack this thread. I suggest everyone ignore him or he'll distract us from the real discussion. His comments don't really contribute anything to this particular discussion. If he wants to talk about his problems with dispensationalism, let him...

    What is it?

Dispy, I think you are forgetting one important issue. The 70 Weeks of Daniel is a time period of seven "sevens" (literally "heptads"). The first 69 Weeks were literal weeks of years. Unless you want to allegorize Scripture (and shame on you if you do!), the 70th Week has to be interpreted...

    Finding Classic Pauline Dispensational Books

"Oh yes, it's always those "nasty Calvinists" who do nothing but cause trouble for the poor little dispies. Maybe a kum ba ya thread would be much "nicer", eh?" Yet more proof that you have a case of the nasties. This thread is about CLASSIC PAULINE DISPENSATIONAL BOOKS, not about "WHAT I...

    Finding Classic Pauline Dispensational Books

I've been on this forum long enough to have read and participated in some pretty intense "discussions" between Calvies and Dispies. They take two major forms. One form is a benign-sounding thread started by someone "just wanting to know some information" about dispensationalism. Not very...

So ignore his presence on the website and read the rest of the authors' writings. There are many to choose from.

    Finding Classic Pauline Dispensational Books

Gee, the man just asked for some Classic Pauline Dispensational books, and it turns into this??? A-W-C, are all of you Calvinist/Reformed people so nasty? Back to the original question, PLEASE!!?! A personal friend of mine runs a website devoted to getting the writings of the early Plymouth...
