  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

New Guy - Feel Free to Send Blessings :-)

Hi. Thought I'd do a quick intro. I've actually been a baptized Christian for about 9 years but shortly after I was baptized, I fell away from the faith for many reasons. In the last year or so, I've been slowly coming back to faith. Back in January, I officially became a Methodist. I'm pretty...

Just because its in the bible...

Care to back this assertion up with some kind of evidence? [FONT=Times New Roman][SIZE=4] So, men never make decisions based on emotions? Are you serious? Care to back this up with some evidence? Humans are humans. We all (men and women) make decisions based on our emotions (probably in...

    God's Perfect War!

Is America currently fighting any "Godly" wars in the Middle East? (Whatever Godly means in this case). By the way, if you're looking for "Godly" rules of war, check out the Qur'an. Much more on that subject than the Bible.

    Gospel Discrepencies

Probably that the traditions of this account being used by the writer of Luke and John differed on this point. Could be they had a plan to have the stone rolled away but it's not told in the account. I'm not saying this is the answer. It's just a possibility. Are the women bringing spices...

    The Resurrection!

I don't think anything in the NT addresses this question, does it? I've often heard skeptics ask why Jesus didn't reveal himself after he rose to those who opposed him. Good question. Wouldn't that be the ultimate proof if he revealed himself to those who were against him?

    You have 30 seconds to...

Ever heard of the Wesleyan Quadrilateral? I think this is the best approach to theology. Nothing. We're perfect. :D

    Jesus vs Mohammed

It's true that Jesus and Mohammed had different approaches in their ministries. However, it should be pointed out that even though Jesus was more the wandering non-violent preacher type, those who built a church in his name certainly took the Mohammed approach at different times throughout...

I hope Jesus comes back soon.

I don't think much about it. I focus on the here and now and what I can do to make the world a better place. I'll leave it to God to decide to the times for things to occur as He wills.

    Is Christianity Losing the War?

It was inevitable what has happened to Christianity due to the printing press, the enlightenment, the greater separation of church and state, and more personal freedoms in countries around the world. It will happen to Islam as well as soon as they have their enlightenment, a greater...

Does what Jesus proclaim apply to all Christians?

I would agree that Jesus probably did not say these exact words. However, you could make a case the general idea is consistent with what Jesus preached. Maybe not each idea, or the words chosen but the overall general idea. These verses should not be used as a litmus test for Christians...

    Why Christianity Fails

If anything, I would say Christianity is irrelevant to large numbers of people because it's failed to dialogue effectively with challenges to it. Instead, people write challenges off as evil or from the devil, and call for a return to the ancient faith. In essence, large groups of Christians...

The coming Famine, Invasion of Israel, Economic Collapse, Tribulation.

Nice cover by forbidding dates. So, how do we know if this joker is inspired by God to pass this stuff on to us through a web site? Plus, natural disasters are nothing new. There are periods where they're worse than other times. Big deal.

How can we KNOW which religion is true?

The definition of religion is open to interpretation. One reason Christianity is called a religion is just a way of identifying what sort of thing it is. You're perfectly free to see Christianity as a way of life, which is certainly can be but there's nothing wrong with calling it a religion...
