Rubisco is the most important enyzme on the planet.

If a perfect designer would have to make the most important enzyme on Earth and two of the most important molecules on earth, shouldn't he be able to produce something better than an enzyme that is extremely slow because the molecules it was designed to use are inherently unsuited for that enzyme?

MSNBC Video-Article September 3rd : Huckabee: Kim Davis is following Kentucky law

For some reason, one doesn't hear Huckabee and his ilk talk about "judicial tyranny", "unelected lawmakers" and "activist judges" as much when it comes to Bush vs. Gore.

    Obama sure is quiet.

Yes, undoubtedly the end of the world that failed to materialize in the seven years he has been president will come instead in his last 16 months. Any day now!

MSNBC Video-Article September 3rd : Huckabee: Kim Davis is following Kentucky law

It might be Kentucky law, but it's not federal law anymore.

    Obama sure is quiet.

Every time one is killed by "the blacks", apparently, because obviously police officers killing people left and right for reasons such as "walking slowly towards the police officer with empty hands in the air" and being reliably cleared of any wrongdoing is exactly the same thing and just as...

Curled up as if they were still in their mother's womb, beautiful pictures of babies...

The point of this thread is to trigger your protective instinct for cute and helpless newborn babies and thereby make you more likely to oppose abortion even though over 90% of all abortions in the US are performed before the 13th week of pregnancy, at which stage a baby actually looks like this:

    Obama sure is quiet.

He gave "the Officer's" plenty of time, considering that no officer was even injured in any of the three cases that made national news (Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, Eric Garner), all of which resulted in unarmed black men ending up dead and the people responsible for their deaths acquitted.

    Obama sure is quiet.

What is he supposed to do, issue an executive order outlawing murder?

    Obama sure is quiet.

It's as if there is a fundamental difference between those who are empowered by law to kill and those who aren't, and as if the former should be held to a higher standard that the latter!

    Taxation is Theft

If taxation is theft, then supporting some variant of primitivist/communist anarchism including the complete abolition of every conceivable state structure is the only moral logical conclusion. Do you feel that way, OP?

Now We Know: Team Obama Both Corrupt and Incompetent

Let's all act like al Qaeda is an actual tangible organization with a command structure, a member list and resources to distribute in the first place instead of a vaguely defined franchise ideology that everybody on the planet can claim allegiance to in order to get featured on western mass media!

Now We Know: Team Obama Both Corrupt and Incompetent

I can't say I agree with this line of reasoning, mostly because from what I saw foreign policy didn't play nearly as important a role in the election as unemployment, debt and healthcare did, but I see the point.

Now We Know: Team Obama Both Corrupt and Incompetent

I still haven't quite figured out what the Republicans are actually accusing Obama of regarding the Benghazi attack. He is supposed to have made a conscious decision to call it a spontaneous protest when he already knew that it was a planned attack, and that would have benefitted him...how?

    Bachmann Quits

She is done politically, but there are several active members of Congress just as far out as her - Cruz, Broun, Gohmert and King all come to mind. As for her further career, I can definitely see her as an analyst on Fox at the least.

    Why no decent Republican candidates?

I'm fairly sure that the GOP in its current phase isn't focused on satisfying the Christian Right/the Evangelicals at all. They are a bloc that will vote straight Republican no matter what and every step in their direction (anti-abortion, anti-gay rights etc.) is a major turn-off for the 20-30...
