I cannot reject Christian ethics as this has been an inescapable part of my life, historically, educationally and culturally. I would therefore describe myself as a friend of Christianity, but not a believer. I am not anti-religion. My wife is a minister in the Church of England and my daughter is a devout Christian - both accept the Theory of Evolution.
I oppose Young Earth Creationism, not only because it is based on a fabric of lies and misinformation, but because it is a threat to all hard-won human knowledge.
