  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Sensory Processing Issues on the Spectrum

I am new here. I believe my oldest son, age 9, is somewhere on the autisum spectrum (currently in the process of many evaluations). But I see myself in a lot of the sensory issues, and he struggles with them as well. For me, it's noise (that's apparently not "noisy" to anyone else), bright...

New here: Question about behavior issues

For all your insightful answers. They really helped to gel some things in my mind and help me better understand how my ds thinks. I appreciate you taking the time to post that. :)

New here: Question about behavior issues

We are in the process of having our 9yo, homeschooled ds evaluated for multiple issues. Sensory issues, speech and lang. eval. and also with a neuropsychologist. The more I read, the more I think he is on the Autism Spectrum somewhere, perhaps Aspergers. My question is: How do you implement...
