Waste of Time to Care for God's Green Earth?!

Well, but do you know when it will be burned off? What if Jesus won't come back for another couple of hundred years? Already people are dying and suffering because of what we did to the environment, I would hate to think that it might get worse.

    What is true tolerance?

By respect I mean you should allow them to practice their beliefs (assuming it is not against the law) even though you disagree with it.

Does Luke 21:25 reflect the Tsunami?

Well, eutychus, I guess then Jesus lied when he said all these things would be fullfullid within his generation.

    What is true tolerance?

Tolerance is treating everyone with respect. It does not mean agreeing or approving what the person does or believes in, but treating them with respect no matter what.

    Partial Preterism

Any partial preterists here? If yes, what led you to this belief? If not, what beliefs of partial preterism do you disagree with?

Abbas calls for peace talks with Israel

How are these signs? Jesus said that the temple will be destroyed (whch happened in 70 AD). Nothing about it being rebuilt. Plus, Israel also has a secret nuclear program.

Is it right to kill another human even in war?

Was the change in laws regarding divorce a change in ceremonial law? Furthermore, it is not so much about change but fullfillment. Jesus fulfilled the law that prohibited murder in the OT to include all people, including wicked ones.

Is it right to kill another human even in war?

That is where your reasoning falls apart. God has established new covenants with people over time. You cannot use something from the OT to justify something that has been clearly condemned in the NT. God's moral law does change in some aspects from covenant to covenant. Examples: 1) In the OT...

Is it right to kill another human even in war?

Then, if eating pork is a sin in the OT, shouldn't it be a sin in the NT?

Is it right to kill another human even in war?

Did God change when he abolished the Law? Did God change when he issued a new covenant to Noah? God doesn't change, but the way he deals with us does. It also isn't true that "turn the other cheek" only refers to personal vengence. First of all, personal vengeance was already prohibited in the...

Is it right to kill another human even in war?

And by the way, when the OT talked about "eye for an eye" it was talking about capital punishment (and also about other forms of retributive justice).

Is it right to kill another human even in war?

Unbelievers are already in sin anyways. Secondly, silence does not equal approval. Just because Jesus' did not give a speech against cruxifiction while he was on the cross does not mean he approved it. Plus, he already sufficiently adressed that matter with " 38You have heard that it hath...

Is it right to kill another human even in war?

If being a Civil Magistrate means disobeying Jesus' words on loving enemies, than a Christian may not be a civil magistrate. God's people are supposed to be separate from the world, so yes, a Christian should not do as others would. It is a matter of standards; we are called to higher standards...
