Current GOP efforts to make it harder to vote: list from 538

I'll be more clear. I believe that a state has the right to allow for aids to voting that help the elderly, even if they don't extend that same aids to everyone. I also believe that a state can provide rules that favor certain groups. For example, because of age, I am not required to serve on...

Current GOP efforts to make it harder to vote: list from 538

OK, let's do the reverse. Is it OK to have 2-3 lines with no seating, food or water available. Does, this abridge the rights of the elderly, the handicapped? Let's be more clear. Is it Ok to have a special line for those over 65 on Election Day? Surely, this puts those under 65 at a...

Current GOP efforts to make it harder to vote: list from 538

hmm are we saying that a state cannot provide benefits for only seniors? Should it be illegal for the DMV to have seniors hours between 8 and 9, or a special line for seniors? Should it be illegal for a state to have lines on Election Day only for those in wheel chairs? or those over 65...

    The Democratic Safe House

April 20th, the most important day of this year, by far. Passing the foreign aid bill gave Biden a fighting chance to beat Trump. Both wars were in danger of being major issues. ========== Now Biden must deal with the teal issues (or lose): INFLATION: Not, the economy which is fine. Prices...

Autopilot spending devours the government's budget

Of course not. Gasoline prices have been pushed upward by the war on Ukraine and by the war in the Middle East. We produce more than ever and have the largest reserves in the world.

    Wall Street loves DJT!

Did you blame the record highs on Biden?

Autopilot spending devours the government's budget

    1) An increasing amount of revenue isn't relevant. We have more people and a growing economy. Government spending as a pecentage of GDP or even per capita is smore relevenat. 2) What the government spends money on is more important than the amount or even percentage. I would be more than...

Autopilot spending devours the government's budget

Are you saying that the single payer system for seniors doesn't work? Vets also have a single payer system.

The Unsustainable Costs of President Biden’s Climate Agenda

Sigh. You need to remember that this board is a fact-free zone and a science-free zone.

Is the job market and the USA economy good?

To be clear, you are asking those in the right in today's politics why they are embarrassed by their attitudes or positions? I believe there has been very little embarrassment on the right since at least January 1st, 2016; June 16, 2015 is probably a better date of note.

Is the job market and the USA economy good?

The common people would be much better off with a better safety net. Our health care and education delivery systems are simply broken. Let us just say that Singapore and the European countries don't expect their top middle class students in STEM courses to pay $90K to attend a top school.

Is the job market and the USA economy good?

fair enough I agree I would think that the common people are much more satisfied with their lots in life in any of the European countries listed, plus SIngapore. I suspect that is also true of Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Is the job market and the USA economy good?

And it was 85% that we would have a hard, deep recession by now. Yes, we will have a recession in the next 2-3 years. That is simply part of the economic cycle of the best economy in the world. The utter crime is that our middle and lower classes are not being well treated and not at all...

Is your life better off now than 4 years ago?

more government propaganda We all know that the economy is in terrible shape, and that there are no new jobs being created. :)
