    Should...

[/COLOR]I can't agree with that. Knowledge is valuable in its own right. Advancing human understanding of the universe.

    Should...

Gaining knowledge is never a waste of time or money.

    Purpose

Possibly. But here and now, I'm alive. Let tomorrow worry about itself. I love, and live and, occasionally, party. It's all good, and it's made more valuable by the fact that it is limited. What would I do with eternity, other than come, eventually, to hate my eternal existence because there is...

How old is the earth? Maybe not as old as we think!

That's where I have the problem. If I believed in an all powerful being that actually did requests, the last thing I'd be would be vague. There are too many stories about Djinn to be making loosely worded requests.

How old is the earth? Maybe not as old as we think!

From my perspective, while I believe in neither, the morality of either would depend, entirely, on what effect was being asked for. One thing that does worry me about prayer is the idea of "thy will be done." which, from my perspective, is not only a bad idea, but really, masochistic beyond...

Apparently so, since it appears that your spells are obviously bad, and hers are obviously good. As I said, I'm a little unclear on why that is.

So your magic words are different to their magic words? And the difference is only clear to those on the inside?

Historically, I suspect, Christianity has been a leading cause of death for Pagans. The demons may have to get in line. :P

I've never been entirely clear on the difference between prayer and spells... And it's not just Dungeons and Dragons. Apparently Rock music, video games, the wrong books, and possibly cheeseburgers all lead to demonic family massacres.

    Evolution, who cares?

Yah, but who cares? Skip over all that "Love your neighbor" stuff and go straight for the bits that tell you you're infallible in your interpretation of the text. An aside, what's really important to your modern Christian? Jesus, or Genesis? But Jesus spoke about a flood, (among other things)...

    Space was Warm.

Generally speaking, approximately none of them flying the Union Flag, though... ;)

Do Creationist ever get tired of making excuses for Creationism?

I have seen his stuff. He lies more easily than most people breath.

The Split is otherwise known as Dadmadeitup. Making things up is a great way to avoid facts. Or evidence. Or, you know, the real world. It's quite a tricky idea. What you do is, make something up. Then make up something else to support the idea that you just made up. Then you make up...

Origins debate, what difference does it make?

Not a problem at all. In fact I'd say it should be covered, if not in social studies then in a history class. What it should not be taught as, is science.

Origins debate, what difference does it make?

Because the truth matters? Possibly because there are people that want to ignore evidence in favour of their own interpretation of a particular book, and more importantly, they want to teach everyone's children the origin story from this book, regardless of what the evidence says. Ignoring...
