• CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
• We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Catholic Heresy Lawsuit filed against Kerry for being Pro-Choice

That is for the RCs to sort out. It's not really anybody else's business is it?

Your favorite Reformed author/pastor?

Who's Jesus? J/K All those guys are good, though I'm not familiar with Don Fry. I'll just toss a couple more out, one 'old' and someone contemporary: John Knox (if you've never read Monstrous Regiment you're missing out!) and Brian Schwertley.

The War Between the States

Yeah, we all know Canadians are retards :P Three-hundred thousand Yankees is stiff in Southern dust, we got three-hundred thousand before they conquered us. They died of Southern fever, and Southern steel and shot, I wish it was three million instead of what we got"

PCA Pastoral letter against Racism

This may sound silly, but thanks. I appreciate your reply also, because though I tried to be moderate, I thought I might have been too critical and not charitable enough, and half expected something harsh and scathing from you, which you did not deliver at all. I believe you showed real maturity...

D James Kennedy

Well, he's got charisma, I think his heart is in the right place, and you gotta love the hair. I'll give him all that. I used to be more of a fan, but he tends to be kind of a mixed bag and, unfortunately, a little flaky. As far as I can tell he is solidly Calvinist in his soteriology, and being...

PCA Pastoral letter against Racism

I don’t think that’s what he was doing, but moving on. With all due respect, rm, I think that if you and the people who drafted that letter think you are guilty of an ungodly attitude or actions, then by all means, repent away. But accusing all Presbyterians, or just even...

PCA Pastoral letter against Racism

Unfortunately, I must take exception to the GA's letter. Racial matters and the division that exists between conservative Reformed folks on it is very troubling to me, so I'm reluctant to even bring it up or voice dissent, but a festering wound ignored won't go away, it will just get worse till...

What do About the Keys?

LOL, oddly enough, I haven't come across that little slogan before, but it's precious ;) Well, you know different people will approach it different ways, so I don't know that there's any 'official' Calvinist counter, but you know there's a ton that has been written, from the Reformers themselves...

A State of Confussion

Tiger, it's good to come here and get input from people, but if I were you I'd read stuff like Gerstner's Primer on Roman Catholicism, Dabney's The Attractions of Popery (available online, just Google it) and also Eric Svendsen's Evangelical Answers. Also, check out James White's Alpha & Omega...

God wants everbody to be saved.

Yes, God’s glory is paramount. But no one has yet explained to me why God couldn’t save everyone and display His glory to the fullest in doing so. No, God commands us not to sin, but He has also secretly decreed that we shall. He doesn’t just permit it happen, as we said before, He...

Purpose-Driven PCA?

To glorify God and to enjoy Him forever. Sorry, don't mean to quibble, just thought I'd make that minor correction for accuracy's sake. Good question though, Peter. I've heard others ask the same thing. It's true. Why do we need to go through a course using Rick Warren's silly little book when...
