  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

LuvAslan

I grew up in a loving Christian home with 2 sisters (JoAnna and Kate). I was a good girl (still am). I had a few friends in school, but I was often the object of teasing. I wasn't as good of a driver as they were at the time. just in my freshman year, I accidentally hit the gas instead of the breaks, thus propelling the vehicle into the wall of our aluminum shed, denting it big time. Also, I drove the car into a ditch, where it tipped over. I wasn't hurt, but gaining the nickname 'Crash' wasn't fun. At least no one made fun of my braces. Kate and I decided to homeschool (JoAnna already graduated). I think back at the experiences I am missing, and try to convince myself I don't miss it. I miss Prom, homecoming, and the Pomp and Circumstance the most. I'll be at my ex-classmates' graduation, longing to be with them. Of the 12, I was the outsider. In ways, I suppose that's a good thing. I have managed to keep myself as pure as I can. Something tells me they don't miss me. I'll get over it
