  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    What is biblical authority...?

I think it’s because God is the ultimate of all things.God is the truth. So when group of people who all claim to have a relationship with God disagree on what Gods word says how how it should be lived out it can make a lot of people pause because again we are talking about God. We should try to...

    What is biblical authority...?

But a person has to believe they are from God first before they are considered deniars of the truth right?

    What is biblical authority...?

But even in seeking and trying to understand we are in a place at some point and time a person must take that words or opinions of history. Which I’m not saying is a issue for everyone but I absolutely see how the mistrust of human beings causes people to question anything they read. For some...

    What is biblical authority...?

Maybe they didn’t maybe they didn’t. Its not my job to say. I do wonder are you able to admit you could be wrong about your belief? Is it even at all possible? I’m just curious and if you are certain than thats awesome as well.

    What is biblical authority...?

I personally would rather not judge at all when it comes to religious matters. Right and wrong seem to be relative to the time one lives and the environment one lives in therefore it’s seems to be eve changing when talking about that standard of right and wrong from place to place. Even with in...

    What is biblical authority...?

What I meant by the violence stops meaning that how can I judge another if I’m willing to admit I may be wrong.... What I may see as clearly truth another may not see at all. And rightfully so. Some people have a different standard before they are willing to accept something as truth. So we are...

    What is biblical authority...?

Like I said. I’m not trying to push anyone away. I understand why people have confident in their beliefs. But confidence should not turn into arrogance or we risk missing the truth all together.
