  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Are men better at making good decisions than women?

Practically, what's the difference between that and what you're proposing? If a woman disagrees with her husband, should she just obey him anyway?

Are men better at making good decisions than women?

For thousands of years men did make the decisions for women. Would you say that our current time is dominated by bad decisions and earlier history dominated by good decisions or peace?

    Great name for a band.

Are men better at making good decisions than women?

Just look at how many times men committed to a land war in Asia.

Hard drugs - A requirement for religion now?

I'm not sure the divide is so simple. Alcohol is addictive and deadly- so called hard drugs like hallucinogenics are in general not. I'm not sure where you would put those in a continuum against cigarettes either. Even if something like mushrooms, LSD or ayahuasca were legal, I doubt you would...

Hard drugs - A requirement for religion now?

Well, first, I would think that the Netherlands of all places would legalize ayahuasca. As for religious exceptions, I would far rather make exceptions for religious use of drugs than some other exceptions we make for religion; one in particular is the right that parents have to deny their...

    Creationism Curiosity

I wasn't thinking of a particular mammaliform, but if the describes those dudes it's perfect. :D The digs sound awesome, the only thing I've ever found was a really big fossil snail.

    Creationism Curiosity

It's also impressive just how many absolutely beautifully preserved many fossils are! Tiktaaalik and the Berlin specimen come to mind. The other thing to remember is that not every bone needs to be seen to reconstruct a specimen, or see what it represents in terms of evolution. If a...

    Creationism Curiosity

Where do you see the weaknesses in evolution? Every discovery that science has made has been made without referring to god. Why is this one a special case?

    Me Ne Frego

Nothing helps keep crime down like making people desperate. I actually like the idea that people aren't starving to death. I'm willing to throw my tax dollars at that. I wake up every morning and yearn for the good life under Mussolini, when men were men and dissidents were disintegrated.

If the human body is designed, then I am not impressed

If the human being was designed, who made the DNA replication machinery? Also, if everything was designed, what about botflies? If you don't know what they are (and you've got a STRONG stomach) do a youtube search for botfly larvae. My friend smuggled some back to his entomology lab in his arm...

If the human body is designed, then I am not impressed

Can the design argument give a mechanistic explanation for the flaws that have been discussed in this thread? Or is it just more handwaving and saying "sin did it!" You can be as insulting as you like, but you still haven't produced any evidence. Show some evidence for how human morality has...
