How can a person stay saved?

There is another possibility here,.....that you got it wrong, or maybe you're wagering the "early" Romans got it right. See, it doesn't feel so good, does it? But, to see if we can get this thread back on topic, the way to "stay" saved is by walking and talking with Jesus, following the leading...

    Hebrews 10

You can't be serious! "Most of us continuously fail daily for the rest of our lives...", who, other than Jesus can you possibly be referring to? If you are implying that there can be anyone else, then you are making a statement contrary to Scripture or have a very loose description of holiness...

    Simplest summary of truth

Funny how you tend to see more than is written. Even with myself, you leap to implications that are to your liking. I defined myself within my statement to avoid just such a propensity. Quotated Christian is obvious, within the context of the statement, indicating a differentiation between God's...

    Simplest summary of truth

I stopped being agog and aghast at some of the posts by "christians" very soon after perusing these forums. The category "For Christians Only" implies just that, but I think the definition is not always understood. It, obviously, typifies a devastating fact that basic teaching is not very...

    Examining Romans 5:19

Two "scriptural" levels, though there are more. One, the comparable analogy of the active "leavening" of the whole, to good or bad. Two, the continuing affect of the first "Adam" on humanity and that of the second, Jesus.

How can a person stay saved?

Kind of reinstates the old, but pertinent, point of whether one who professes to be saved, to later reject, not the teachings, but Jesus Himself, was ever truly saved to begin with. Professing Jesus is one thing, enacting and experiencing an active personal relationship with the Father (through...

    Hebrews 10

Very simply, because your "fruit" is dependant upon what you do with your walk with Jesus, but any "holiness" or "perfection" is due to His covering alone. No one is, or can be, "holy" without the covering of Jesus. We are holy and perfect because He is. We are deemed such by the Father because...

    Hebrews 10

Always, "in that direction", anyway. it is, and will always be an ongoing process, meaning we will always need Him, learn from Him, grow in deeper Love and fellowship with Him, etc. Those He Loves, He chastens = "on-going". Ain't done, there is no "done", just taking another step in the infinite...

How can a person stay saved?

The only requirement that He has placed upon His salvation, is to accept the sacrifice of Jesus (the real "widow's mite"). Anything else is legalism, and a lie. The next choice is to "grow" and bear "fruit". This, He explains, is accomplished in one way, as well, -- by following and obeying...

What came first? Grace or Faith?

The infinitely simple and the infinitely complex. Though even the definition of grace is beyond us, perhaps we can remember this. It took faith on our part for us to each accept God's gift of salvation through His Son. This obviously implies that there was/is a gift to be accepted. This gift, as...

    "Health And Prosperity" Faith

I cannot agree with some of your interpretations of biblical discourse. To simply say that "those" who disagree with your "opinion" of the discourse because "they" simply don't believe in what He's saying, is pretty sloppy reasoning. Firstly, He hasn't directly made the claim that you do...

    bottle feeding to cup

I implemented the same, and experienced the same. PS. The dripless sippy-cups were a continual blessing and gift to us and the children.

Was your spouse supportive of you breastfeeding? (Husbands, too)

I can, of course, only speak for myself. But, beyond the obvious health benefits for my children, it was irrelevent to me. I accepted it as readily as I did to carry a diaper bag and have that "spitup" cologne about me, sometimes. I was their father and it was to their best interest, end of story.

    Baptism is NOT symbolic

Guys, guys, guys! Let's see if we can leave the "ripping" to opinions and leave each other's judgements of character to God. Views, fair game -- hearts, not.
