  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Proof of Jesus witnessing "tidbits and funfacts" to use

I will comment on this. I never use tidbits. Actually I guess I am not smart enough to get them. Some of my friends do. They really enjoy it. I usually relate personal stories. People that have gotten saved etc. More of a human element. One day I will catch onto this stuff lol.

Strangest Places you've ever witnessed at!

The funniest place or strangest was a strip club. We were outside in the parking lot putting tracts on windshields. We did not want to go in of course. The bouncer came out. A really big bouncer. Told us to make sure a tract was on every single windshield. WHY? I still don't know. He...

    Are Tracts Effective Witnessing Tools?

Wonderful Scott. I can guess how he got through prison. It sounds like he was very grateful. I am just champing at the bit for Japan. I have longed for that nation ever since I went to a very large theologial library in the 90's. I read accounts in books from the 1700s! of missionaries...

    Street Witnessing

Solomon. You see someone sitting around waiting for drugs. Or a lady that looked for a job all day long riding the bus so she can feed her kids. Or someone that got beat up in a shelter over not much. You see yourself, Solomon. No ones there. No one cares. I can't be there for any...

Strangest Places you've ever witnessed at!

Twist-tim, The first time I witnessed to a biker. He got off of his motorcycle and cursed and cursed at me. Something about him losing a loved one. I walked away. However I do go to that biker bar and witness still. They have rules. I follow them. I am nice and polite. Some want...

    Are Tracts Effective Witnessing Tools?

Yes, I do believe that tracts are effective. You can talk to one person of course. Which is very relevant. At the same time you can hand out 25 tracts. To 25 different people. I am of the opinion. It is God that choose's you. You did not choose Him. In addition. I have tracts in...

    Street Witnessing

It can be difficult to start. "Street corner" is an interesting phrase. Actually you can go up and down the street. Around the block and into the ghetto's. Near the stadiums. Football and baseball games are good places. Rock concerts etc. The crowds. What people think is going to...

    Witnessing tips: Overcoming fears!

Whew, that's a good one. When I first started out. I was like a frozen snow man. I could say not one word. I did not want to mess up and really did not know what to say. Luckly, I had people to go with. That did know. It took me almost one year before I could get the courage to even...

Step by Step Guide to Witnessing

I believe in the principle. That sometimes you don't have to say anything and plant a seed. That seed may be a tract. Sometimes people are in a hurry. Or they are to shy to talk to strangers. A tract. That they can read. I believe in the fact that it is who God wants. That being...

Strangest Places you've ever witnessed at!

Strangest place I ever witnessed at was on the sidewalk in front of CNN headquarters to Ted Turner. The body guards, BIG-UN's would not let me through. Then I just said as loud as I could. I think CNN is wonderful. Mr. Turner waved at them to let me talk to him. I did and also gave him...
