  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Looking for a good free online christian college

I would recommend reading a book called "Is College Worth It?". It is a very carefully researched study of the value of a college education. In the 1960s, it was your ticket to a middle class job and lifestyle. Since the 80s that has been less the case. The value of a college degree to employers...

Looking for a good free online christian college

Well, you can always use Google to find the ones right for you. MOOCs are the latest thing, but you wouldn't necessarily find it easy to earn a degree with MOOCs. Of course, everyone is familiar with Coursera, but they don't really have seminaries that teach Christian theology on their site, so...

I discovered ChristianLeadersInstitute.org. I completed the Christian Basics course, and now I'm taking NT Survey. It is college level work, and if you complete all the courses online, your degree will only cost about $75, to pay for transcripts. The tuition is completely free, and you don't...

Looking for a good free online christian college

If you want a free, accredited online degree program, there aren't really any I can think of. University of the People is a program sponsored by HP, Microsoft, Unesco and a bunch of other organizations, to make a low cost degree program available to people around the world who can't afford...

Try OnlineBibleInstitute.org. You won't get an accredited 4 year degree there necessarily, but they do offer certificates if you complete a certain number of courses: http://onlinebibleinstitute.org I also recently signed up for a spiritual formation course offered through the World...

now I know why I don't do dating sites

Okay I'm just a Newbie chiming in, but: How is it possible for someone who does *not* possess the gift of discernment to discern that they do not have it? Ispo facto, there are many in the church who attempt to judge without discernment, since they cannot discern that they do not possess...

now I know why I don't do dating sites

A lot of my older friends really enjoy PlentyOfFish. I'm 44 and they are in their mid-fifties. I think it's mainly a Baby Boomer singles site. I tried it, with very poor results. I don't recommend it for 30- and 40-somethings, but 50-somethings are having a blast on that website, so if you're...
