  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Is it a sin to get a dragon tattooed on you?

A Christian is not under the law of the Old Testament hence "New Testament" ..as a Christian with the Holy Spirt as your guide you wouldn't feel comfortable with certain art subjects tattooed on your body, part of your house decor, or on a tee shirt you are wearing. It's not really about being...

Is it true that some Protestants denominations have hostility towards life and even Art?

I'm a Baptist. If the art is good, it's good art. If the art is bad, it's bad art. Good and Bad are used both ways here. Lol. ....answered that like a true artist.

Conquest of America, Australia, NZ, Great Nations, right work?

Exactly do the Native Americans have blood on their hands from the land battles and tribal wars they engaged in and that led to serious bloodshed for hundreds of years before a European ever set foot on North America? Do you ever hear them being shamed, or asked to apologize for what their...

Why can't we do more or less whatever we want?

You do have a freedom as a Christian to do things and not have a judgment of them. What you eat. What you drink. BUT let's say if a weaker Christian or a non believer saw you drinking and it caused them to fall? ....it was their stumbling block that you placed in front of them, even though you...

Crushing on fictional murderers and villains, is it wrong? (Fantasizing and Christianity)

Start out with baby birds and kittens before you move on to humans. Sounds like the beginnings of a serial killer. You need to pray about this, ask God to take these thoughts away from you.

Is it a sin to get a dragon tattooed on you?

Would you be speaking from a Christian point of view? Are you a Christian? or are you speaking from an artists' point of view?

    Protestant or Catholic?

Most of the confusion on my part was because I am using an app on my phone to access the board, when doing so and unknown to me at first is, I don't see the icons you are talking about. So I'll have to log onto my laptop more often than not. Sorry.

    Digging the hole deeper

My Pastor preached on this once and I remember him saying this about it and I'll relate it to your situation. "If you are feeling this much grief in your spirit and are worried about it this much then you did not committ the unpardonable sin."

Hallelujah new yeay Bible study group

I would very much like a Bible study group but 4 chapters a day is too much for me, I would like a smaller more specific Bible study. 4 chapters seems like it would have way too much ground to cover and potential topics to discuss. I could try to keep up though. I guess you've already started.

Too much history, greek, and philosophy?

The "Home base" reference just means this. I start out with KJV, but I like many other versions, and read them as well. When doing serious Bible study I'll read from several versions but when I feel the need I'll move back to KJV (home base) if I feel something needs to be clarified or verified...

Too much history, greek, and philosophy?

How come it seems to some on here that I can't just read my Bible without first being fluent in ancient Greek, be a Biblical historian, or be a professor in philosophy; or there is no way I could possibly know what it really means. I mean come on.
