  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Keeping The Sabbath - Where to draw the line?

There deffinately is a line I think. I think it comes down more to emergency status really. If a non-christian needed help urgently because they were sick or had a fire something like that I would help without hesitation, and I think that would generally go without saying for most adventists...

Worship music in the Adventist church

Sarah, Your absolutely right about the christian music being uplifting. I think it's great to just be able to have some great music playing in the background while I do some work or some study. It deffinately helps keep me in a great mind during the day. I do have a few songs that I get stuck in...

Worship music in the Adventist church

Yes absolutely, I love praise music, and I used to love listening to the hymns more because I thought the drums were too loud at church, but now I absolutely love praise music, and I think having a bit of a mix can be quite good. At church we do mostly praise but we put hymns in, and as it...

Worship music in the Adventist church

The more Praise music the better. However I don't mean to say do away with the hyms, however how we approach music as a church is changing quickly. At my church we have a hall and a church serivce. The hall has more praise type music and less hyms, and the church is pretty much hyms. I think...

    Some general new christian questions.

You are referring to the Trinty, God the Father, God the Son(Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit. Your right its extremely hard to comprehend but it's almost some of the essence in the bible. Jesus teaches us not to worry because we have the Holy Spirit which is God. It's kind of like a really...

Why worry about the Ten Commandments, if you are disregarding the Sabbath?

Legalism is interesting, and what I was saying is the Collosions verse only tells us not to obey the sabbath because other people instruct us, we must discover that we should obey for ourselves. Many people wonder, whyy Saturday is the sabbath, but then the very first mention of a week is at...

Why worry about the Ten Commandments, if you are disregarding the Sabbath?

Yes Jesus said some are more important, but never did he said that rendered the others unimportant. We still must obey every comandment!

Why worry about the Ten Commandments, if you are disregarding the Sabbath?

mmm I reliase that it may be important for docotrs etc to work if their needed, and its widely agreed that this is ok because they are there to help mostly rather than make money. We also know Jesus tossed thhose that used the temple to make money out because it was a sacred place. The...

    original sin

Thats right, we sin because of the free will God gave us but because Adam and Eve made a choice it made it impossible for any other person to be completely free from sin. So in essence, you just said the same thing.
