  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

    I'm A Christian, But...

Good question Hannah, There are hundreds, if not thousands of religions represented around the world. Obviously, not all religions can be true because some religions are in direct opposition to others and can be neither reconciled or harmonized. I would encourage you to consider a couple of...

    Prayer

Eishiba, I had a very similar experience as you. I come from an agnostic background, despite having grown up in the church. I will certainly be praying for you. All of Christianity hinges on the resurrection. If Christ was resurrected from the dead, then he is who he said he was, and you can...

    Unsure

Hi Sendo, I think that you’re asking a good, honest question. After all, why devote your life to something that you don’t feel like you need? The short answer is that your life will be fuller, richer, coherent, and more satisfying if you have a relationship with Christ (which is vastly...

    Looking for Faith

Blartz, it is normal to have doubts and struggles with your faith. Also, I do not think that wanting salvation for the purpose of escaping hell is selfish if we have a proper understanding of hell. Hell is ultimately separation from Christ. If you love Christ, and believe in him (i.e. who he...

    The Most Accurate Bible?

A lot of it comes down to what you want if for. As mentioned previously, the NASB is great because of how close it is to a word-by-word translation. If I'm studying from the Greek, I use the NASB. ESV is also great because of it's accuracy; I would also say that it's easier to read because it's...

    Is this anxiety or what??

Hey man, I can relate to what you're going through. I've certainly had a similar anxiety in my life years ago. First off- I know this can be difficult, but try not to get yourself down about not doing well on tests. I can remember when I failed my first driving test (written AND the actual...

    Is music getting worse?

I'm like you. I most of the music I listen to is from the 90's, and a considerable chunk of it is from the 70's. I don't believe music is getting worse at all. It really just depends on where you look. If you're comparing a classic rock station to todays typical rock station, you're going to...

    Does anyone listen

Dude I used to play Harvest Moon on the Nintendo 64! It was awesome! You're right. Only you know exactly how you feel at the moment. I remember a time (not too long ago) when I was contemplating suicide. When I felt completely alone and numb to the world around me, unable to feel happiness. I...

    Self-help Books.

This is going to sound like an incredible cliche, but the best self-help book out there is the Bible, without question. As a student studying psychology, I can tell you that one of the biggest problems with help-self books is the fact that most of them consider the ultimate source of your...

    Driving

I used to be terrified of driving too; but I think the trick to getting above that fear is to just keep driving. Just take it in small steps, and don't let anyone pressure you. The interstate was a big problem for me for a while, so what I did was, I would hop on the interstate then get off at...

    Roomate nudity

As long as you guys aren't, you know, lusting after each other, then I don't see a problem in it.

What's the most played song on your iPod?

Map of the Problematic by Muse. 137 plays, which is weird for me because I still absolutely love that song.

    Nirvana!

I still listen to Nirvana here and there. My two favorite songs from them have to be Scentless Apprentice and Come as You Are.

    I don't like women singers.

Oh come on, how about Bjork? Have you ever heard of Bat For Lashes? Her new album is incredible. You've gotta listen to the right girls
