    The Roommate

Yikes! And I thought some of my roommate stories from junior year of college were bad! Good luck with figuring out the whole situation.

    Do You Know Him?

I had never heard that speech/sermon before - and I'm glad I did! S. M.Lockridge speaks with such passion about our Lord and the video accompanying it is well done. Thanks for posting it!

KJS was my nickname at work.

Keeping The Faith In A Far-Away Land - Guidance Needed

Wow, I have been a bit busy and I haven't checked the boards as often as I would like. Turns out my doubts were completely unfounded - there are numerous Christians going with me and a few have asked about religious services over there on our informational mailing list/discussion group. Just so...

    School Online?

It's all about managing the different style of education. You have more flexibility, but you don't have the same "structure" that exists in a brick and mortar classroom. If you stay on top of things and are motivated, it shouldn't be a problem.

    Aspergers Advice?

I think it's pretty awesome how you are being pro-active in helping her feel welcome and accepted - that combined with the work that God is doing in her life will surely help her along her spiritual journey. Keep up the good work!

    Work? School? Both?

I'm in my final semester of college - going for the dual BAs in International Relations and Telecommunication, Information Studies and Media. I work as an IT Support Technician - doing help desk/networking type stuff. I have been thinking about going to law school at some point - maybe do...

Keeping The Faith In A Far-Away Land - Guidance Needed

Very good point. I have been working on trying to get myself right with God, ridding myself of self-destructive habits (such as drinking - wasn't a good route for me). I will continue to do so as I approach departure. I guess I was kind of confused, as it seems that every church I can find in...

Keeping The Faith In A Far-Away Land - Guidance Needed

Thanks for the advice! The violence thing is something I've been taking into account. Although I know that the armor of God protects me, I'm going to try and steer clear until I get a feel for the situation. I'll be going to Karnataka - will be training in Mysore and working in Bangalore.

Keeping The Faith In A Far-Away Land - Guidance Needed

Hey all: In July, I'll be shipping off to Southern India for 6 months to train for my new job (I'll be back in the US after that). As I prepare myself to embark on this great journey, I am looking for some advice about some resources that will help me continue my growth in Christ while I'm...

    Time For A Little Q/A

Have not, as I recently returned to Christianity (on 12/24) after a long hiatus. Do you have suggestions on that topic?

Do you guys gather up in fellow after sunday service?

The college students/young professionals go out to lunch after the 10:30 AM service. It definitely helps out with making you feel more welcome at church - I never had anything like that growing up.

    Snowy Roads?

As a native Michigander who learned to drive in snow and ice, I can say that it becomes a lot less scary with practice/experience. In terms of car hardware, make sure your brakes are good and keep track of your tires - bald tires = bad scene come winter. Also, I agree with previous posters about...

    Time For A Little Q/A

I'm enjoying the devotionals from "My Utmost For His Highest" by Oswald Chambers - definitely thought provoking. Helps challenge you to become deeper in your faith by asking the hard questions.
