  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Why are we so concerned with...

I think we talk about sex so much because it IS on so many of our minds overmuch or perhaps on our minds in a way that is inappropriate etc. Sexual lust, etc., is one of the major struggles we all have. And I think supporting one another in our struggle to transcend that is an important and...

    The Argument from Evil

In my experience, it is very unusual for an avowed atheist--someone with a strong commitment to atheism--to also believe in real, actual moral truths. At the college I used to attend, there was a debate between a Christian and an atheist over whether or not one could believe in objective...

    The Argument from Evil

Anyway, it always just seemed like such a silly attack on the existence of God to me, because the existence of moral truths implies--pretty strongly--the existence of God. How many atheists do you know who believe in non-relative, transcendent, objective moral truths? How many atheists actually...

    The Argument from Evil

So, in other words, if we don't assume God exists for the sake of the argument from evil, then what we referred to as evil within the scope of that argument can become simply facts of life to be subjectively interpreted outside the arguments scope? I.E., the argument for evil just assumes the...

    The Argument from Evil

As a philosophy grad student, I wrote a paper where the gist was that the argument from evil doesn't work as a proof against God's existence because it aggressively asserts the existence of transcendent, objective moral truths about the universe; if one argues that evil exists, truly and...

    WWE: Sport or Entertainment?

Skill in submission-wrestling, aka, catch-wrestling, is still a part of some--though not all--wrestlers' training. And some pro-wrestlers have cleaner, more spectacular wrestling/grappling technique than the competitive grapplers.

    WWE/TNA Discussion Thread

I only watch TNA. I like Sting a lot; for one thing, his character is a good guy because he has differing principles from the bad guys, which seems a rarity in pro-wrestling these days. In fact, I think he might be one of the only pro-wrestlers around with such a character
