  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Why do dispensationalists chop up the bible into different ages?

Thank you for this comment. I noticed that phenomenon but wasn't sure the reason for it. Of course, thanks also to 5thKingdom for prompting me to some Bible research that I don't remember doing before!

Why do dispensationalists chop up the bible into different ages?

Matt. 19:23-24: 23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. 24 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. Please stop...

Why do dispensationalists chop up the bible into different ages?

These all refer to the same kingdom. It is the one God is king of. It is spoken of in Dan 4:3 and 4:34 and everywhere else the kingdom of God, kingdom of heaven, kingdom [come], "kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ", "the kingdom of our God", "the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour...

Why do dispensationalists chop up the bible into different ages?

"these four (4) separate-and-distinct "Kingdoms of Heaven" Jesus NEVER, EVER meant to imply that there is more than one kingdom of heaven, though there are MANY times the Bible states a single kingdom that God is king of. I emphasize "single tense" is always used of this kingdom. ALWAYS...

Why do dispensationalists chop up the bible into different ages?

Thank you for asking the right question! A unique Gospel does not demand a distinct kingdom, or I'm sure I would have noticed the verse that says so. Let me wear out this verse: Dan 4:3 "his kingdom is an everlasting kingdom" Revelation 14:6 "And I saw another angel fly in the midst of...

Why do dispensationalists chop up the bible into different ages?

Those kingdom names never came out of His mouth in ANY of the references you provide. They are made up by you or some other man/woman who misunderstands "dispensation". Dan. 4:3, in part: "his kingdom is an everlasting kingdom". One King, one kingdom, one time period. If you find a verse in...

Why do dispensationalists chop up the bible into different ages?

Which of the Kingdoms does Matthew 6:13 "For thine is the kingdom" refer to? And keep in mind that question MUST be answered in the paradigm you lay out, but the Bible does NOT answer it! And note that the Son of man also has a kingdom (Matthew 13:41, Matthew 16:28, etc) in your paradigm...

Why proper Biblical definition ("job") & use of term "DISPENSATION" is seriously consequential

Well then, here is THE lecture I would to deliver to ANYONE: Ps 119:100 "I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts." To keep God's precepts implies we know all His Word, plus we believe all His Word, plus we revere His ownership of us and lordship over us, besides...

My wife is out of control

Money is one important way the man provides for those of his own house, yes? He is being required by God to take care of that lest he is worse than an infidel. That's a lot of pressure that you aren't showing you understand.

My wife is out of control

You misunderstand me...I'm not suggesting you would be the one to file any court action against your wife or against a believer. Not at all. I'm just saying that our society has a propensity to believe the woman over the man, as you know. I'd hate to see you be ruined by her for lack of evidence.

My wife is out of control

Ricky, I can speak to you from first-hand experience of the exact same thing. In non-treacherous and honest ways you can take these steps: 1. Make sure you do NOT live in a community property state. If you do, LEAVE and become a resident in a non-community property state. Your wife, like...

My wife is out of control

I can fully identify with this man, since my own wife is the same way. No, it is not sour grapes. I am happy for you, Rachel, that you live a life in which you can't fathom the existence of injustices like ours. I've been married since 1983 to that kind of wife. Outright swindled many...

Why proper Biblical definition ("job") & use of term "DISPENSATION" is seriously consequential

"Go...tell John....to the poor the gospel is preached" says why I hesitate to charge anything. But I did write a booklet about 13 years ago: Obedient in All Things - A Nehemiah Eight View of First Corinthians. Free e-book download. Please don't expect much inside that booklet in the way of...
