CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I immigrated from Europe at the age of sixteen. I lived at home and worked in my father's business until I married at twenty-five. I had 2 daughters, eighteen months apart.
My neighbor was an artist and introduced me to painting with Acrylics. I soon started shows and continued to expand my creativity while I raised my children at home.
When my daughter was killed I gave up painting.
A year later we took in a foster child which we adopted in due time. This led to opening a group home for girls aged 12-18 for 8 years. I took college classes in hopes to enhance my capacity to help the children.
Due to health problems we closed the group home, and I went on to get my college degree. This led me to experience the arts in a deeper sense. I chose clay sculpture as my field of work.
To this day I teach in senior living and nursing homes, both as a ministry, and for the therapeutic value it offers others and myself.
My first creative experience in my youth was writing and though I suppressed that part of me for many years, my love of writing emerged at a later time. I read much, wrote 3 novels and many short stories, and have participated in forum through the years.
I look forward to participate in this Christian Forum.
