  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    Surviving Infidelity

I just wanted you to know that I have hand copied down most all of this and looked up the scriptures before copying down those parts just for double reinforcement into my journal. I really to appreciate you taking the time to share this with me. Joy

sdmsanjose thank you for the encouraging words. I am working through this exact stuff with my counselor and agree with everything you have said. It's harder to do than say but I guess it wouldn't be worth much if it was easy. :-) Thanks too for the scripture references. A lot of them we have...

    Surviving Infidelity

I need to add a confession to my story. I posted to someone else today about publicly admitting your sins and although everyone in my real life already knows my story, you here do not. So, here it is for what it is worth! The marriage that I am working hard to restore was the result of an...

    Surviving Infidelity

Another short update, don't know if anyone is following or not. It has been brought to my attention that my lack of forgiveness towards the other women as well as some OW supporters that caused damage to my marriage is likely the roots of bitterness tainting the progress my DH and I are trying...

    Emotional Infidelity Brewing...I Need Accountability...Badly!

I am glad you told your husband. I wonder what of your affair partner's wife? She has a right to know that her husband is a threat to her emotional, physical, and financial safety. I am surprised this being a Christian forum that some posters don't seem to know that it is biblical to confess...

    Emotional Infidelity Brewing...I Need Accountability...Badly!

There may be reasons, but there are never excuses for adultery. You need to tell your husband about this relationship. You have legitimate issues within your marriage but you are not choosing legitimate ways to address them. You clearly have weak boundaries with members of the opposite sex and...

God will not lead you wrong. Dr. Willard Harley has some great books I highly recommend you and your husband...

    Surviving Infidelity

Hello all! I am still here, and still working on things.:) The biggest struggle right now is what to do with the bad feelings that I inevitably fight every day. I do not want to tell my husband what is hurting me because I don't feel he needs to have his past mistakes thrown in his face...

    Surviving Infidelity

A new update, sorry its been so long! My husband and I did renew our vows as planned. We actually had to go to court and request the action be dropped, that's how close we were to finished. It was emotional. The judge was so sweet and everyone seemed so happy for us. On our way out the door the...

    Surviving Infidelity

Another update... My husband and I are all set to renew our marriage vows on Friday Oct. 28th. It is the day we were to be officially divorced. I have instructed the attorney to stop all legal proceedings. We will be living together again after the vow renewal. Just 9 more days! God has been so...

    Surviving Infidelity

Thank you so much Sandradee! Our counselor has given us some steps to work through and recommended that my husband propose again and that we renew our vows before moving back in together. It is nerve racking and exciting all at the same time!! We have been blessed to have a very discerning and...

    Surviving Infidelity

Just thought I would give a quick update... After much prayer, discussion with my family, and our marriage counselor, I decided to let my husband know (through our counselor cause we have been no contact) that I was open to conversation. He called me the next day and we went to dinner. We have...

    Ok I HATE being single!!

I actually have a very good friend who is married to a nice man from Ireland. They are both wonderful Christian people too, sweet family. He was already living here when they met. I can't actually say I know how he came to live here... but he is definitely staying now! :-) I am sure there are...
