  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Mr Average guy, full time carer 7 days a week to my elderly father.

Became a born again Christiaan in 1992 in a small house church in Swindon, Wiltshire, England. Those were great days and at that time worked in the third sector mainly working in homeless shelters in and around Wiltshire.

My faith has always been very strong, due to a couple of hrmm for want of a better words a couple of "Religious Experiences". This has proven to be a crucial part of my journey with Christ, especially and more so when i returned to Scotland as i found many churches up here to be quite different, the journey has meant that ive not actually been a member of any church locally, and have had to survive on Online, the odd local event, and occasional visits to local churches.

Some have asked me over time why i never settled down in a church and well that is a story in itself that has ranged from Mental Wellbeing to Neuro Divergence. Some of which i wish to explore in this community once i find my way around. A recognition and understanding of my Neuro Divergence has explained to me some of the issues ive had with churches.

I know not all churches are perfect, and we all have our own imperfections, but I've always judged a church on how willing a given individual is open to change, a striving to not only better themselves but a striving to know Jesus that much more. Many churches ive encountered along the way find themselves in a rutt, they have become to comfortable in the way the church is run, and become less attentive to "their flock", "their fellow Christian", unwilling to rock the boat.

The last church i went to, I challenged their understanding of their own beliefs. And because of this i was ostracized for doing so. I've always stood by the conviction that as Christians we have a duty to challenge each other if we ware not following and practicing the word of God. By doing so we are keeping ourselves strong in Christ and our fellowship is unshakable but much of the problems in this church was they were too comfortable.

The 1990s and some of the noughties for me with newly found Christian faith was an amazing time, I attended numerous Marches for Jesus, the most memorable was London 92, I also volunteered as a steward at Spring harvest, and went to many Greenbelts. England was alive in those days, there was a revival going on and everywhere was buzzing. The one thing i missed the most from those days was a gathering in a town nearby called Malmsburry Abbey, in Wiltshire, it was a once a month event that allowed all Christian loving churches in Wiltshire to attend one place for two hours non stop praise and worship, you could touch the walls of this abbey and feel the power of this place it was electrifying. Those were the days.

A Hobby i enjoy greatly is Genealogy and have mapped a large chunk of my own family tree, with aprox 5000 people on it. Some say im a bit of nut when it comes to this stuff. I say it keeps me out of trouble lol.

With regard to "MY POLITICS". I choose not stand or have any affiliation with any of the political parties listed in this website. None truly represent me.
