  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

    Convert me?

I'll have a look but it doesn't seem to make sense to me, each creation is still takeing some amount of time, and so would still take an infinite amount of time to get through this infinite number of creators to get to this one. You would never reach that infinite speed that would be required...

    Convert me?

Stealing something i just heard, but if you have an infinite number of points all lined up how can you get to a specific point in the sequence, if you have to go through every point before that specific point, which would of course be an infinite number of points, hence how would we get to this...

CHRISTIANS: What do you believe regarding the age of our universe?

Cant say I'm completly up on my einstein and time dilation, only a poor chemistry student. but we see stars which appear to be many 1000s of light years away, and the science behind it seems pretty good, however I see no break in the Bible where does a nice poetical story turn into a historical...

An honest question for Young Earth creationists

An honest question for Young Earth creationists

I belive the Bible is true as I have grown to trust God, I have also started to see great things in the Bible the way it is all tied together the prophecies throughout the Bible and which describe perfectly Jesus and what he would do like Psalm 22 and other psalms that describe parts of his...

An honest question for Young Earth creationists

I think they could have fathomed it better than we could, particularly if God was doing the explaining, I believe God wrote the Bible through man, guiding their hand and thoughts as it were, and I do believe they would have bought something that conflicted with what they understood, if the...

An honest question for Young Earth creationists

I belive that science will eventualy (if given enough time) back up the Bible, but we aren't there yet. I've been challenged by quite alot over the past couple of days, and what I've learnt is most of you lot know alot more about evoloution etc than me, and I need to do alopt mor reading up on...

An honest question for Young Earth creationists

Good point. Though the circumstances here are slightly different, why would God tell us he created the Earth etc one way, but do it in a completly different way, why not do it the way He is saying he did do it. It does not make sense to me to compromise like this as he is God and doesn't need...

An honest question for Young Earth creationists

I can see the first part being possible though doesn't seem to fit within what I understand the whole creation account to be. The Second part I would have more of a problem as there I see no seperation between the creation story and the rest of the Bible, with Adam being the father Cain and Abel...

An honest question for Young Earth creationists

Yes I believe that new variation could arise through natural selection though I would say that, God probably created us geneticaly perfect, after the fall, the world then seems to start falling apart, so I'm guessing this is when genetic mutations begin to occur and as the code is at this point...

An honest question for Young Earth creationists

Your right I do have very little evidence save what I read in the Bible, I accept the Bible as truth as a christian, and scientific research as mans best guesses, which appear to work resonably well. Therefore what I have done is see what theories etc fit with the Bible, (as far as i can tell)...

An honest question for Young Earth creationists

Sounds intresting particularly about the plants, you seem to be know more about this subject than me, though I still go for a smidge of common ancestary among simalar speciecs and common desighn between completly different ones, acctualy that brings back a diagram I was shown in a geology class...

An honest question for Young Earth creationists

I beleve that specification (hoping thats the correct term) is possible from one earlier species into others, though I would think the superior would be the earlier species, I also believe that all creatures do not share common ancestry, I believe that God created a large number of different...
