  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

To all of you who like to write in your Bible:

I was just wandering. Do you color code for different things? Do you have a "system" you use? I highlight favorite passages in yellow, any references to the day of the Lord I highlight red, sister scriptures I wright in green, and I do a lot of underlining. I just got a new Bible and was looking...

    Prayer Cloth

I have noticed that a lot of my brethren of the Penticostal persuassion take little scraps of cloth that they annoint and prayer over and give them out to the sick and hurting telling them to keep them close to them. I know they get this from Acts 19:11-12 where peices of Paul's clothing where...

    Any mid-tribulationist baptists here?

I stand on pre-wrath. My understanding is the biggest defference between pre-wrath and pre-trib is where God's wrath begins. Scripture makes it clear beleivers are not destined for God's wrath (Rom 5:9, 1 Thes 5:9 just off the top of my head). Pre-trib says the whole Daniel's 70th week is the...

Baptists in Assemblies of God Church

I accepted Christ in a hospital, not knowing what to do I went to the altar in an AOG, and ended up serving in a Baptist church. The best thing that happened to me though was God sent me a non denominational mentor from whom I learned my real idenity. That is just simply a born again Christian.

    THe Failure of Bible Colleges

I sat under a bi vocational pastor who had been to a southern baptist Bible college for a while. My problem was, every time you went to him for any kind of counciling he would qoute his Christian pshycology classes or something one of his professors had revealed to him instead of the Bible. When...

    Bible "Tools"

    Why reverend?

I was curious to see if anyone could tell my why a lot of ministers use the title reverend? It is only used one time in the Bible. Psalm 111:9 He sent redemption onto his people: he hath commanded his covenant forever: holy and reverend is his name. The Strong's concordance defines reverend...

    Women in prayer

Allright, here is the other thing I did not mention about that night when I first posted this. They let the head table go first to eat and my pastor had a problem with this as well. He said that as elders they are servants and should not exhalt themselves above others. He also said that he...

    Women in prayer

I recently went to an inter-denominational event with my very southern baptist pastor. Everything went good till the end when they asked a woman to close in prayer. He said this was not biblical because by allowing a woman to pray over men was to submit to her authority. He kept quoting 1 Cor 14...
