You are saved if you accept Jesus regardless if you can speak in tongues. I don't do it, and have only done it a couple of times. But if someone said I wasn't a Christian for lack of tongues, I would leave them because they themselves are judges and deserve to be reprimanded by God himself.

I fully understand. I prefer a nice cover and other luxuries such as thumb tabs and red letters. The new NRSV I bought has a cloth cover without anything else special but I love the cloth cover so much I don't really care.
