    Thanks for showing a photo of one of my ancestors, John (my maternal grandparents are from Cheddar!). But like flatworm, I don't see what my sacred forbears have to do with science proving the truth of the bible.

    From the O.P. - JohnR7 I agree entirely. It's easy to count annual ice layers in Greenland and Antartica well beyond 100,000 years, thus easily disproving the interpretations of the Bible which put the Earth at less than 10,000 years old, for example.
