  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Is there a practical value to celebrating Christmas?

Hello, I am wondering if you think celebrating Christmas has a value in building Christ's Church? I am not asking whether you think it is an "ethical or unethical" holiday. I am asking, from a practical point of view, does celebrating Christmas 1) bring people to know Jesus 2) build the faith...

    Joy of the Lord

Hi All, I've been a pretty happy, Spirit-filled Christian for about 8 years. Christ has really blessed me in many ways including helping me achieve success at work through His grace. Recently things have not been going well at work. I've been feeling a bit down about this. I realize that much...

Is it my fault? Husband calls me names

Hi, I'm sorry for your situation. You need to get help. If you attend a church, you HAVE to talk to your pastor, or seek professional counselling, a social worker, etc. You stated that you would be afraid of going public because he might do something rash from embarrassment. However, if...

Non-Denom are for those stepping away from religion?

Hello ThisISMe123, I can only speak for myself and perhaps a few of the people attending the non-denominational church I am a part of. The reason I joined a non-denominational church was simply because the church was so grounded in scripture. The church leadership is organized more or less...

Is it a sin to be turned on by this thing?

Hi, #1. Spiritual advice: Remember, Christ loves you if you are thin, or fat or are sexually aroused by fat. If you sin, keep attending church, praying, rejoicing and asking forgiveness. Christ will never give up on you, don't give up on Him. #2. You have a medical issue of this I am 100%...

Gunmen kill at least 26 Coptic Christians in central Egypt

I came here to post this same sad news event. I also have a question: "Why do Christians in the West not care about Christians in Egypt"? Sure, some do, but as a whole we are completely indifferent? Why? The Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria, which gave rise to the Coptic Christians, is...

    Are You a Sologamist?

I listened to Rush Limbaugh once and couldn't finish the program. He is so filled with hate and negativity I can't imagine anything positive happening from listening to his program. Being a sologamist is a very rare occurrence and has little to no impact on society. A much larger problem that...

    Serpent Handling

From a purely legal perspective, I think that if a person is 18 or older and they want to play with a snake, let them. I don't think it's more dangerous, or outrageous, than letting them play with a gun or jump out of a plane with a parachute.

Would you renounce Christianity under torture?

Interesting question: The martyrdom of the early Christians clearly had an enormous impact on the growth of the early church. People paid attention, were in awe. I even read Constantine was impressed by the Christians in his army, prior to his conversion, because they had no fear of death. This...

How Do You Deal With Your Worst Qualities?

Hi, Definitely getting over our worst qualities is a process. Growing closer to God is really the answer. As we read His word, pray and have fellowship with the church we grow to know Him more and our lives are slowly transformed. I attend an amazing bible study. My worst quality is that I am...

    The Flood

I would humbly suggest that you already know precisely what we believe. Over the course of your 2,300 comments and having read thousands of posts by Christians here responding to your posts, you are very dialed-in to our beliefs. You probably know more about Christian thought than some...
