    I fear that my repentance is false

    How does one know if when they repent that it is true and legitimate. I feel like I have tried repenting but don’t feel any different. Why can’t people just repent at the last minute before they die like the Theif on the cross did. Wouldn’t that make life easier. I’m really struggling with this...
