  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Does God really affect our lives?

Really? I'm pretty sure that's exactly what it says. God fulfills us and nothing else. I can be raped and stabbed, but God will give me strength.

Does God really affect our lives?

The teachings of the church are that Christians won't live some amazing life, but will have a happier and more fulfilling one. The reason for being a Christian is that God saved us and we want eternity with Him and Heaven is more important than Earth so don't let the problems in life get you...

    We Don't Deserve Hell

I am hearing a lot of "We are the ones who choose sin." But I did not choose to be able to choose sin. So who made that choice for me? God did. God created my want for sin. And if it's satan. Then who made satan to want to choose evil? Or a pt least have the option of choosing evil? And yes I...

    We Don't Deserve Hell

But he created us. Therefore he gave us the option of hell. He created a species that chooses evil and hell more often than God. Seems a bit interesting to me. And if God created everything in all of existence... That means he created a mind that can reject him and create darkness.

    We Don't Deserve Hell

Yes but for us to choose, we are given choice.. For choice to be possible there must be options. Therefore God created two options. It isn't free will without the option to choose wrong. It is not our personal faults for sin as sin is inevitable. We can't help but to sin in the eyes of God, so...

    We Don't Deserve Hell

Yes, because the only alternative to good is sin, therefore I would never want to sin. It wouldn't take away the ability to have careers or make decisions, but it would take away the chance of doing evil. Doesn't sound to shabby to me

    We Don't Deserve Hell

Now what I meant was that he created a species that has the option of flaw, which means he produced flaw. For Him to say we chose sin means that God must be oblivious to the power of sin (which would not exist if it wasn't for Gods creations). Its like me throwing away leaking cups because I...

    We Don't Deserve Hell

Why create a species that is flawed, then punish us for being flawed as if it is our fault? He condemns us for acting in the way that he created us. the bible speaks as if we don't deserve forgiveness, but we really do. We didn't ask to be created and did not ask for the opportunity of hell. I...

Why would a Christian be rich?

Just to make sure everyone is clear, I am not asking if having nice things is bad and I am not saying that having nice things is bad. I'm asking why a Christian want nice things. If we truly believe that giving and living out our faith is the key to happiness... Then why not just do that? OOOHH...

Why would a Christian be rich?

 Well like I said before.. I live off of donations and I have a job and pay for everything except the essentials like home food and bills. Now I know I don't have the struggle of paying for such, but I'm talking like the guy below said, why have a gold Rolex when you preach about...

Why would a Christian be rich?

Yeah I know that, but I've been saying this whole time that we can live off necessities.. We don't need a nice car or anything we don't actually need. A large majority of pastors and Christians still a live a comfortable lifestyle

Why would a Christian be rich?

But isn't God and other people before everything? If we serve others then surely our Lord will provide for us. At least that's what the bible says. But I mean Christians don't really believe in a fairy tale like that anymore anyways.

Why would a Christian be rich?

People that feel bad for our family haha I hear what you're saying, but I'm finding out that Education.. Even more so a Christian education, is a bit less important than actually living out a Christian life.

Why would a Christian be rich?

It's always nice to know there are others out there that share my concerns! Will definitely check out Thoreau. I'm looking to get much deeper into religion itself as a whole as well.
